That would be the ideal scenario, yes.

A package of THT (10.2), Nunn (5.2) and a 2023 2nd (we have two of them) as well as $4.4 million in trade exceptions to use other players to trade (one expires 8/28) equals about 20-25 million we can take back.....which if we can find someone...should/could be a nice player or two....

Lakers have a few trades to make for sure...

If you can get Harris back too you do it, he’s 6’6”, pretty strong and an adequate defender. He won’t get played off the floor. That said, Jason Timpf said yesterday he’s heard that Harris won’t be ready to start next season because of the ankle injury. Obviously not ideal, but that shouldn’t stop us from getting a deal done.

can't combine TEs with players or other TEs, would need to bring in bodies first.

Yes I meant using them to get a player or two (separately), particularly the one that expires in August for 2.7 million....

Yeah, I feel the same way about Kyrie. Could easily blow up again like it did everywhere he's been. Don't think anyone could foresee him coming back to potentially playing with LBJ.

RIP to my man but dude, it’s Kyrie. The dude wouldn’t take a 2 second vaccine during a pandemic so he could play basketball. He’s a full on nut job.

The ONLY hope we have if he comes here is that LeBron keeps him in check and IF he does, it makes up for all the LeGM slander he’s gotten.

Agreed, but he’s not a nut job on the court. I think playing in Kobe’s house means something to him.

I think you’ve romanticised this in your head. Kyrie won’t give two hoots about who it is or where he is playing. Guys a nut job, and if we trade for him we have to expect that the range of outcomes is a championship to not making the playoffs and the team being blown up by the end of the season.

Not sure why people want to throw our 27 and 29 picks in for Kyrie. I think the guy is toxic and teams aren’t interested in him. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he isn’t extremely talented but it seems to be we might be bidding against ourselves. Sure the Nets could send him someplace else but if you’re a GM, are you going to give up asset to get a player who might just say on any given day….I’m just not feeling this week, I think I’ll sit out for awhile. Dependability and availability are important and Kyrie has neither. I know the trade would get rid of Russ and just based on that, it’s a huge plus but I don’t want to be the team that signs Kyrie to another contract.
