No bird rights either so he is likely gone from BRK, they can't outright sign people in FA beyond the regular MLE. I guess he is just expecting to sign for more elsewhere in FA. No reason to be disgruntled with BRK he was getting 29 MPG. Maybe it's just the charm of Durant and Kyrie.

I'd give the full $6.2 million to Mo Bamba.

Probably re-sign Dwight back for the min.

Wings at that point? Reclamation projects and youth.

I think Mo can help more than a wing we can get for that amount of money.

    Mark is Bamba's agent.

We hope stuff like this goes a long way in attempting to convince the young man to come here.

    Worth a gamble. IMO.

spurs preparing to tank hard for wembanyama

murray is probably the most underrated star in the league. it'll be interesting to see how he makes the hawks better

That's such a weird fit but 3 picks for a still young and upcoming all star is a win.

We’re going to need some guys to bet on themselves like Monk and Nunn did.

Agree that we’ve got to hope the back channel work going on right now is enough to convince some guys to come here.

I think Bamba and Warren are real possibilities. You ask them to bet on themselves. You give them the mMLE offer for 2 years and a player option year two. If they perform, they can turn that into a 20m per contract.

I also trade THT and Nunn + both firsts for OG.

Look into Toscano, Dozier, Ingles, House, Thomas Bryant, Jones, McGee for the minimum.

No choice but to give him a vet min. He's had a brutal career so far though.

Warren has a foot injury similar to KD’s and various other players. They basically operate and reset the small bones in the foot. It’s annoying because it may not always heal 100% and requires a second go of it, but 85% of the time it’s successful and people make a full recovery with no loss of athleticism.

guys like him and knox are worth a look. like stan. i think folks call it "second draft" nowadays.

sometimes people don't fit in their first stint.

The local ATL reporter had it first yesterday. Great deal for the Hawks. Murray makes up for Trae's inability to play D. They can't get FAs there and when you can trade for a young star who you otherwise would never be in the mix for, you do it 10 out of 10 times. Spurs tank cranked to an 11. Guessing Gallo gets bought out asap.

it's weird how little that stuff bothers me (3p%). what bothers me more is that knox got the rep of not being interested in defending/doing the little things, which is borne out in his advanced stats.

and i think some of these guys mature. not all of them. but some do. and the talent is still there when they're 24.

not advocating for knox in particular, but just guys like that. him, josh jackson. sometimes it clicks for them, and people can't look past the previous failure.

it's why i'm interested in dj wilson, too. maybe the guy just needed some seasoning and to grow up a bit. it's what happened with christian wood, who still has some of those issues, but certainly wasn't a lost cause at 24.

good deal for both. two of those picks are fully unprotected, and they're 3 and 5 years out. so much can happen there. spurs take on basically nothing, and they'll finish exactly 4 spots lower. murray's not a franchise cornerstone.

of course, neither is young, but that's another discussion...

short-term, hawks should fun and interesting again.
