yeah, we did them dirty with george, but i've never liked pritchard at all. he got what he deserved there and continues to reap what he started sowing back when he worked for portland. he's an a******.

i lol'd when they floated that the knicks were giving them the 11th pick for brogdon. nope. your guy can't stay on the floor and everyone knows you have already picked up his successor.

we were doomed a full year ago; we're just not "undoomed" by the FA market being unrealistically friendly to us. we were never getting bamba.

 

Yeah Bamba was always going to be a pipe dream. Best time would have been to try and trade for him at the deadline last season...

I'd give Thomas Bryant a look. Not for the TPMLE but would he even look at a vet min?

 

Buha on Kam pod: reaffirms what both Ham and Rob have said publicly. The target and point of emphasis with our mini mid is 1-2 3&D wings. He thinks if we can get Otto Porter or one of the Martin brothers, we absolutely do that vs. bring Monk back. He thinks Malik will get full mid level elsewhere either as a starter or 6th man.

 

washington could easily keep him, but he had a pretty bad year last year. if they decide to go another direction, he might be looking at minimums, tbh. he wouldn't even be at the top of my vet min center list, though.

my bizarre obsession with gorgui dieng as a nice 15mpg veteran center continues....

watch us sign him and then he sucks for us. but he's been quietly very effective in a limited role for years.

Yep. We sealed our fate with the Westbrook trade, after a decade long period of mismanaging our assets. I hate to sound like a broken record but--though we may continue to have some successes--we're not pulling out of this general downward trend until we have new management (I see zero possibility of new ownership any time soon). I don't mean to doom and gloom, as I'm a generally optimistic person (especially with respect to the Lakers), but deflating offseasons and free agency periods like this one are just the chickens coming home to roost.

 

More from Buha on the pod: Said he thinks we go younger in free agency. The pitch is starter size role and exposure. A Warren or Porter can come in for a year and get the Monk type of exposure to earn their next deal. Thinks size is the target 6-6 to 6-8 wings. Predicts we sign multiple wings. Then a backup center is needed. And one more guard to fill it out.

 

there's no point even thinking about any potential deals with the pacers as long as bird still has a voice in what they're doing
