watching westbrick play last season, i don't think he would have magically played better if AD had been in the lineup more often

he's dumb as rocks, can't shoot, and can't defend. no amount of time playing alongside lebron and AD would have changed that

Well Batum has to be wondering how much PT he's going to get now. They have Covington, Morris, Wall, PG13, Kawhi, a lot of big wing type of guys. Kennard and Mann are both 6'5.. It depends on the lineups but he could see more PT with the good guys IMO.

Somehow he is a STILL a 1st ballot Hall of Famer though. SMH..you are hating on the guy a bit much IMO. Again maybe I simply believe more in the power of the James/Davis duo than you do. It's cool. The games will be played and we shall most definitely see what's what, because I really don't think Westbrook is getting traded.

Westbrook is a scrub at this point. The absolute worst player I ever had to watch be force fed a starting spot/minutes for an entire year.

him being a HOF'er has nothing to do with the fact that he sucks now (even though i think he's mostly empty stats anyways)

that duo led the lakers to a title. i understand why they brought westbrick in but even stevie wonder saw it'd be a bad fit. russ thrived in OKC and houston playing alongside another star+shooters. he had never played with TWO ball dominant stars and for a guy who needs to be the focal point of an offense to be successful, playing with lebron and AD was never going to be a good fit. he doesn't know how to play off the ball, and neither lebron or AD are great 3 pt shooters

Bradley played in 62 games and 22 minutes a game (Which was too much). Russ played 34 minutes and started every game he played. :Vogelheaving:

He went to the Finals with KD and Harden in OKC. Harden in Houston dominated the ball as much as Lebron. He wasn't brought in to be the 1 or 2, he was brought in to facilitate. The 1 and 2 could never get right, especially together. So again trying to judge a fit isn't possible in a few scattered games throughout the season. If James and Davis are healthy, we will see a lot of things differently. At this point AD should be the focus for me, Russ and AD played pretty well together, but we missed Lebron's ability to take advantage opposite a Russ/AD P&R. Then James gets back and AD promptly goes out. Howard and Jordan gives you nothing on offense. We could have gotten a little action with Nunn out there instead of Avery, he never suited up tho. All that said, Russ has his faults but he wasn't the main issue this season.

In short, Kyrie made a business decision.

You can't leave $30 million on the table.

I thought he was going to do it all, lol.

    All good. Let's move on.

I’m honestly a little surprised at how many people are disappointed about Irving and/or Wall despite the obvious issues surrounding both.

That’s not a shot. I just wasn’t interested in either. I guess there’s always the chance that both will play full seasons and be great for their teams. but for a fan base that complains so much about AD and his injuries it is surprising how much interest there was in two guys who have been on the floor even less than him.

I guess I’m just never going to get the street clothes stuff.

And he played in 80 I believe. If my two main guys played in the same, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

You seriously think Russ can play off of LBJ?

Sure, he is pretty good but I don't like the fit on the Lakers, do to not being a proven of enough three point shooter. He has a decent 3 pt %, but it is on very low volume and his FTs are in the high 60s.

amen, brother. i didn't want wall or kyrie. both were just more of the same of the dumb things we did last year.

    AD is mr glass!!

if you can dump russ and play guards that can shoot, you can play a center that can't.

I seriously think Russ can play off Lebron and AD yep. As I said elsewhere, we haven't been any good with Lebron as the main offensive threat in 4 years. Even worse with AD as the main threat, but we are magic with them both playing. It won't be any different with Russ. We just never got to see them both playing much.
