That’s nonsense “we are steering away from Basketball and we’re better than to take on guys like LeBron. Or now maybe Kyrie. You mean the Guy who, yes, many of us greatly disliked from afar, even hated, and are still annoyed by …. but who was instrumental in attracting AD and helping win us our 18th NBA championship, after missing the playoffs how many seasons in a row? And the Lakers who prime FA’s weren’t even any longer considering giving us the time of day? Brick, to our detriment unfortunately, still was considered a star or more than that and wanted to come here and now Kyrie, granted with his baggage but also with his undeniable talent in his prime … same thing. We get it you don’t like him and many of us still and becoming more so because of the LeGMing he did last year and things he does on the court and says in public, are becoming annoyed or worse all over again. But “not about Basketball” is a bad take.

Guys like LeBron and Kyrie are not about basketball… they are about self promotions … anybody whom ever played for the lakers was a team player and cared about the name on the front … LeBron is just a rental business man …. When LeBron tweets about every lil political issue which absolutely has no impact on his own life or agenda it makes it difficult to stay way from politics

So, at what point do you factor in mental mistakes and physical ailments as part of the cog of winning a title? Now, I'm not saying you can't say, hey, this guy was out that's why we lost. That's cool. I'm down with that. But calling it illegitimate is bush and stupid.

When a team plays for 8.5 months and it's the last team standing, that's is as legitimate as it gets. That's why it's so damn hard to win titles. That's why Ewing, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Miller, T-Mac, Baylor, etc never won one. Because it's hard and players like MJ, Kobe, Shaq and Duncan made it look easier than it was and their status shouldn't be compared to the greats. They are above the greats.

 

You don’t know me and if you see my avatar and could put 2&2 together you’d see Kobe is my guy above all Lakers. Just happy to have had the franchise become relevant again and win a title. Competing in the same confines of the Bubble as every other team. Not thrilled with LBJ’s act. But you claiming the Lakers decisions are not about basketball because you can’t stand the guy is nonsense, or that no one credits the Lakers or LeBron for having won #18.
