    LOL! Results?
Sweet! They can hang a banner for last year that says, “We almost won a Championship.”
Again, you are completely disregarding how his team was dismantled by ONE player this year in embarrassing fashion. What’s the banner going to read for this season?

I don’t hate the deal, but again, we would be left with no depth.

I'm so glad we aren't tied to Lavar any longer. He's the most vocal, least likeable dad who has a son in the league.

So Ball's logic is that LaVine doesn't want to be second fiddle in Chicago, but wants to come to LA to be a 3rd fiddle?

Luka also dismantled the clippers with PG and Kawhi playing. By your logic then, Kawhi must be terrible too?

    Not by 40 plus points.
Kawhi, when available, doesn’t get played off the floor due to his lack of speed, nor his inability to use his biggest strength. Nice try though.
You are missing my original point completely. I can retype it again: Ayton should be dominating much smaller players, but he can’t- whether it be due to his lack of fire or whatever. He also is too slow to defend anyone on any switches. He was completely ineffective. He wasn’t the only problem, but he was a big one.

Most bigs are too slow to switch, that’s why the modern NBA spams pick and roll so much - to get mismatches. It’s also why so many teams go small as well, to create or to avoid those mismatches.

It’s weird to blame Ayton when he dominated smaller players last year. He also had a good playoffs as a third or fourth option apart from the last game. The bigger problem was CP3 and Booker, their “mvp” level players scored less than 15 points combined through 3 quarters and had less than 5 assists combined. Your blame should start and end there.

Woods is that guy IMO. Productive, young, mobile, athletic big and on a cheap contract. At 15 million or less, he has to be the best option available. I can't see any trade possible that would land us a star caliber player that doesn't involve giving up AD.

Wood and Brook Lopez would be great for AD.

Seeing that picture of Lavine in a Laker uniform gave me flashbacks of slalom, it kind of looked like him there.

i just don't think wood's a winner. seems like he's out for him, first and foremost. that said, he certainly has talent, and maybe lebron could get him in line.

he also is someone that we could bring in if we had to keep russ, as his shooting can give russ the space he needs on offense. but we'd have to commit to outscoring folks, which i'm not sure is the best strategy when you employ AD.

Nah, my original post wasn’t about who held the largest percentage of the blame pie for the Suns. Some of you guys on here just like to argue separate points and completely ignore the original intent of someone’s post. If you can’t actually bring any evidence contrary to the point I brought up, I’de rather you not respond at all.

I just don’t agree with your assessment of Ayton. He is a third or fourth option in Phoenix with little to no sets being run for him. He scores well and defends. It was only a year ago that he had a great playoff run. So I don’t get your point on him being exposed when his first and second options got spanked.

yes, i disagree with the contention that ayton is "worthless", but i do think the suns have a tough choice to make on his salary given the role they have for him right now. are they going to think post-paul and pay him as a 2nd option offensively and defensive anchor?

Like you, I’m not sure that Booker, Ayton and Bridges are enough to be a contender. CP3 + Booker is the equivalent of a mvp level player. Once they have to pay everyone they won’t be able to keep that much talent together.
