Like another poster stated, where were those numbers when Lebron was out. Would you rather have Caurso or Smart??? Also, just because other teams want to trade for him does not mean it is for a starting PG position. Every team needs a "Glue guy". Caurso is fine off the bench. He is a valuable player on any team.

And the thing is we all saw using him as a starter for long periods how that worked out. I feel like you have to constantly praise him and never mention his flaws here. Just MO.

Dude you are on a fan site, no other fan site is going to rip him for whatever and NOT show support. The guy has beaten a lot of odds against him and has endeared himself to Lakers fans EVERYWHERE. Nothing bugs me more than people coming in to any fan site and giving us hell for supporting our own.

It's the backup QB syndrome. Bench guys tend to get overhyped based off a small sample size. They somehow morph into being more important than the guys playing heavy minutes at their positions. The vast majority of the time, once they are forced into playing heavy minutes, it becomes pretty obvious why they come off the bench.

It depends on the players in question I guess. Fans have no problems ripping other players on the team. They are one of our own too.

Being that's the second time you have stated this and several months apart .... maybe you won't get it. Doesn't make you a bad person.

I would say the Caruso numbers with Lebron significantly outweigh any numbers without Lebron. The fact remains that this team only goes as far as Lebron + AD take it. So yes, the efficiency numbers of Caruso with Lebron are incredibly important. Go ahead and make the case that he's not a starting caliber PG on other teams, but on this team, he is.

Seem to recall he missed game or two and was battling lower body injuries as well as others playing hurt. Can't have helped in that particular period of time.

Does 40% for the entire season not register with you? An entire season is not a 3 game hot streak. He has proven he can shoot the three ball. Caruso and KCP were significantly better from 3 than anyone else on the team.

If you don't remember Caruso locking down on D this year you simply were not paying attention. He was our best wing defender and that was on a team that led the NBA in defense.

#1 anyone who uses dude, makes me laugh. Why so defensive over one player, but ok to criticize others?? You just proved my point about the over the top defensiveness of Caruso. Never acknowledging the positive things I said about him.

He's just trying to be slick like he actually watches the games. However, he watches the games like TV analyst do. The last 2 min of the game and box scores.

No it doesn't mean anything if you don't actually hit many of them. I don't care if you shot 60 percent from three, if you only hit a handful. What difference does that really make? Caruso had 4 games all season and the playoffs, in which he hit 3 threes..the majority of games he didn't hit any or just 1. That is not the definition of some kind of shooter.. Lock down who? What games were those again? Caruso is an outstanding team defender, one on one against a scorer? Negative.
