yeah, i'd honestly consider hiring rondo if only because i'm certain he would smack rambis in the mouth.

internet coaches felt seen. and they were, imo. the truth is in the middle, but this idea that the coach is over there like a football offensive coordinator is hilarious, which i think was the source's point. the value of lebrons and rondos and such is that they can improvise and flat out eschew sets in response to what's happening on the floor.

i just really don't think our problems on offense were all about the initial ideas. they were about not having the personnel that could execute both of our preferred schemes (very few two-way players--thanks vet min roster build).

frank himself basically said it without saying it multiple times, essentially "i know what i want to do, but i can't do that".

the idea that a coach is supposed to just figure out how to optimize 1 star and a bunch of vet mins (westbrook was a 45 million dollar vet min)...nobody does this anywhere.

    In Cranjis I trust.

Seriously, I know Pete was frustrated as well with our coaching during the season.

    So was Darius.

    IIRC.

right. and i read some of it; i just wasn't sure it was as easy as to implement their suggestions as they made it seem. by and large, we don't have a lot of coachable players--lebron and westbrook chief among them. it's just really hard to do things without buy-in from your highest paid/highest usage players.

Our scouts should have a statue.

There were multiple sources quoted and I honestly can’t argue with much of what was said.

I hated how Magic quit but we’ve seen plenty of evidence that the organization is poorly ran. As we’ve all discussed a few times, Magic never should’ve been in that role but I won’t rehash that.

The issues start at the top as they have during this entire era after Dr Buss.

Until that’s fixed, we will keep seeing nonsense play out.

If we fail upwards and get Nick Nurse then I gotta say I completely understand why other teams hate us. lol

atkinson deserves a real shot, but i'm not sure lebron/westbrook types will listen to him. that's why bkn canned him before he really got an opportunity, imo.

stotts is just vogel. i thought he got more out of portland than he should, but then got the blame when he couldn't take a 6th-9th place roster to a title year after year.

surprised dudley and rondo don't even appear as longshots. why not rambis for the lulz?

expect a hard denial from nurse's camp this week, though, as toronto doesn't want that hanging over their playoff run.

agreed. The Nurse rumors have more legs than I initially thought.

I’ll be highly disappointed if we end up with Fiz or Doc

    from the list:

    nurse
    snyder
    sam cassell
    jay wright

are the only ones acceptable to me, and only nurse is an obvious upgrade from vogel, imo.

Nurse is under contract for two more years. We'd need the Raptors permission to talk to him and then would have to execute a trade for him. What could we give up?
