DS again?!

if schroder wants to play his natural role of backup pg, i'd welcome him back with open arms. same with drummond as backup c. or russ as backup pg. i'm happy with guys who know their role and play it.

i like the guys we targeted, and i'm glad we didn't give up additional assets to get any of them. we ripe for a fleece and didn't do anything. good.

 

According to Sam Amick with The Athletic, Rob even tried to trade Russ for Hield.

Actually the whole staff, time for a different approach IMO. Player moves?...I liked the Wood idea...other than that...it's doesn't matter. We wouldn't use Dennis...Drummond or anybody else properly anyway. I've punted on this staff. It's back to hoping Bron and AD ball out, and we might just get do some damage
Woulda, coulda, shoulda,with Russ at this point. It's hard to imagine him and Frank getting past, Russ basically calling him an idiot that doesn't know WTF he's doing.

 

We have two games against Golden State, and the Clippers, then a game against Utah coming up on national TV. I just hope we don't get embarrassed. After that fiasco in Portland...Lebron talking about aggravating the knee...yikes.

 

You hope we don't get embarrassed? Lakers have been embarrassing every week, almost every game. The Lakers are no heart, dancing and prancing clowns. Led by the two biggest bozos in Lebron and Anthony Davis. The residual of a generation of slapstick, grab a**, quitting, ball less bullhorns. What was it that Robert Horry said? Everytime the Lakers would take a double digit lead, they start dancing and acting like dumb f***s? Then they follow that with being the team that's lost more double digit leads that ended up in losses than any team in the NBA.

 

Fire everyone and start over then.

 

How do you fire everyone when their contracts are guaranteed? How do you fire fake people when the owner is just as fake.

 

Can't do anything about the owner, AD is the building block. Fire the staff, maybe Rob and Kurt. Let Lebron have his career ending send off in Cleveland after next season. Use whatever we can get out of Russ for someone young, and Lebron's cap space after next year and go from there.

 

I think this would be the point of the move lol. Send in an infection to fight the cancer

Dave McMenamin was on NBA Today and here's the info he had about the deadline market for us:

- spoke to Houston sources, there are currently no plans to buyout DS (hallelujah!)
- mentioned Bledsoe as a buyout option for us, highlighting the Klutch connection and his relationship with both Bron and AD
- also listed Bembry as an option. We want 3&D wings (gee if only we could've predicted this issue during the summer)

I'm OK with both depending on what all shakes loose on the open market. Bledsoe has been bad with the Clipps but we cater to our stars with their buyout requests. The hope is he eats into the Russ minutes or even allows us to send Russ home of it gets to that. I really like the Bembry idea to dump Baze and eat into the Ariza and Bradley minutes.

 

bembry yes, bledsoe no. just a bad fit, and he's largely done anyway, i think.

we need a center we feel comfortable playing.

 

If we can’t have winning basketball, at least we can get some good ole fashioned Laker drama!
I would actually start DS over Westbrick to get him even more upset. Maybe it will get him to actually change.
