Allegedly our late 2nd round draft pick that we bought, THT, was wanted to close the deal for an alleged established difference maker in the league we wanted at the deadline in Kyle Lowry. He’s right with the quality of our FO basketball evaluation talent finding attractive players that will be worth something in a couple of years, unless we give all those picks away now with unwise decisions that can hurt for a long time if injuries or s*** happens and we still don’t get the extra ring or 2. We’ll be like every other team in a not great position when LBJ has been done there.

If the Lakers win it next year, Lebron could retire and the Lakers can start over from there.

Kareem's record is still up there for total points that no one ever was supposed to come close to and he's going to break it. It'll take more than one year, correct?

Yeah but reportedly they wanted Kuz, but we refused to give him up. The trade would have probably still gotten done if we switched Kuz for Ingram.

They wanted Ingram first. Kuz was the filler. Lakers said no and the Lakers offered Josh Hart.

I could totally be remembering it wrong, but I thought there were reports that Kuz was one of the sticking points and it was a swap out for Ingram, but what do I know. It’s been a while

this is what i remember, too. there was some buzz (i'm guessing from the lakers' side) that kuz/ingram was the debate, but i never believed it for a second.

i don't know if there was any confirmation anywhere, but i feel like lonzo/ingram/our lotto were non-negotiables.

joke's on them. they're going to be paying ingram and ball 45 million next year, and that pick was shipped for...jaxson hayes or something?

NBA players do not let coaches coach. They have to babysit a bunch of cry babies like LeBron. So, you can't really know.

He sucks as a head coach but has been excellent as an assistant everywhere

Don't want to read too much into a photo, but to me this looks like them agreeing to join forces.

I can't imagine Kawhi's load management meshes with Butler's approach or the team's approach for that matter
