yeah, i've been kind of amazed that nobody talks about how useless our non-AD bigs have been. if i'm moving THT, i'd actually prefer a center back. like i said somewhere, bagley or bamba might be available (bagley more likely). and sac just moved halliburton, so they're not necessarily overloaded at guard like they were, and they have sabonis and holmes, who are both best suited to play center (as is bagley).

 

Yeah..the lack of size is ridiculous at this point. We won a chip with size, Milwaukee won it last year with size. Then we go out and sign a bunch of guards, and our only size besides AD, are old dudes..Melo,Dwight and Dj? Lol..and folks around here are still talking adding more guards.

 

yeah, i only want gordon or dinwiddie if russ is gone.

Spencer has been borderline garbage this season. If I had the choice, I'd go with Gordon. Lebron isn't coming off the rock, regardless of what he says about needing ball handling help. It is what it is, might as well get another deep threat to pair with Monk. Still...if we don't have any size to go with AD, teams are going to continue to feast on these little dudes on offense.

My hope is we can scoop up some size through buyouts and avoid a trade at this stage. Figure out what we can do this summer.

But given how much we are clearly working the phones I will not be surprised if we make a deal. I don't really like any of the trades I've heard but there are some I can stomach or at least talk myself into.

Trade THT for Hield, sign a buyout in Harris? , bench Russ

Go with Lebron, AD, Dwight, Melo, Stan, Reaves, Hield, Monk, Harris. At least this give you a chance with a mix of defense and shooting that actually looks like a .modern NBA team

 

every single one i've seen gives me westbrook trade flashbacks. where i'm like "i don't like it". then i gradually talk myself into it when my first instinct was right.

not a single name i've seen in any of these deals moves the needle.

i will say that i'm increasingly open to a mega deal that moves westbrook to ny. they're in disarray, too. i feel like if we take randle, they can't ask for much in addition.

i don't think it's possible because reddish can't be packaged again, though.

we could just move russ and a minimum for randle and fournier (his last year is a team option), too. there are a lot of knicks panic trade possibilities because both teams have big money tied to players they hate.

 

I can't see how Westbrook is on this team past the deadline. It came to a head last night. He is gone, regardless of what we can get for him.

Pfft..small ball doesn't work, against a team that can play small ball with size. Who knew? I thought we established that as a fact when we won the chip.

 

before i saw his and lebron's comments, i would have said no way. now i think you're right.

 

this is actually why i'd consider trading for randle. play him at center next to AD and play an aggressive scheme with another big wing on the floor.

 

Not a bad idea there. The shine has worn off on Julius in New York and Russ has finally called Vogel out. Sounds like a good swap to me at this point.

 

Dunno...Frank is out of here too though. LOL...I wont be shocked if both don't make to the end of the season. AND we still do some damage in the playoffs, without either of them!!!
