No way a 3rd team gets involved to allow Dame to join LeBron and AD

i agree. i don't see a clear path to upgrading this summer. which is ok, as we're a contender if we just bring the team back. once we have some contracts that can move, we'll have more options. and yes, most guys' value is at rock bottom right now. really think it can only go up for many of our guys, maybe save kcp.

If all those guys do that, we won't need to trade for Dame.

Pincus lays out an unlikely path to Dame

Basically they have to think THT is the second coming... and even then, I think it'd still require Dame to say it's Lakers or Lakers.

we need to be bidding just to help make sure a rival doesn't snag him for nothing.

the only way portland would even consider trading lillard to the lakers is if he sits out and specifically demands he wants to be a laker

but aside from that, it's just not happening because we don't have enough to give up

i named him in that thread, too. had him and luka as the guys i thought were most likely to jump to the lakers of current young stars.

nobody seems to like playing in utah.

in fairness, it's all we have. i think most fan bases have their group of guys they think are good but also would trade, and they're bandied about for every name that comes up.

I’m not good with trading many more picks, 1st or 2nd round. We already will have very few in the immediate future.

We all want another championship, but trading away all you picks for the next decade is how teams remain in the gutter.

I'd leverage our next ten years for one more ring before LeBron retires. It would give us one over the C Bags and there is no way they are winning one anytime soon.

Ouch...Giannis goes down with a knee injury. I hope that is just an ugly looking hyper extension

I think we can do it without giving away all our picks though.

yeah, that was hard to watch. good to see he was walking on it, but he may be done for the series, which may mean the hawks are an actual nba finalist. without trae young!

we can win without doing that; we can't get a lillard type without doing that. going rate is 4-5 1sts for players of this level. anyway, i agree. any big splash needs to be on a highly paid third star type. as much as i'm against it, it's a westbrook type move (overpaid but useful player who can carry some load).

but we need to be thinking post-lebron in the back of our minds. AD went down and everyone blamed the roles, but paul george just went 15-20 from the floor to keep his team alive, and that was the game i was expecting from lebron in our game 5 against phx. post-lebron may be sooner than we think, and we don't want another late/post kobe era.
