what's insane is that Bledsoe and THT's numbers are basically identical and they play same MPG...except Bledsoe is 32 and THT is 21.

We should absolutely be able to get Jerami Grant if fricking Bledsoe (who has 2 years remaining) netted POWELL and COVINGTON!

You'd think that but Laker-tax, we'll have to throw in another two draft picks to make a move like that.

To be fair the Clippers did throw in their first from last year...so likely we'll have to throw in the 2027 pick for Jerami Grant

wait portland just straight salary dumped powell? because that's what that is. yipes. and of course it had to be to the clippers.

that's honestly the first salary dump of a useful player i've seen in years.

God damn it, that’s nothing. Why couldn’t we get on that. Powell would of been a great update at SG

Ugh! Covington is exactly the guy we needed on this roster.

we didn't really have a path unless you wanted to move THT for him, and even then, it's looking like portland didn't want to take on salary.

yeah, but the odds of healthy kawhi and pg are pretty low. i'm just envious of all the non-vet mins on that roster.

They’ve got a ton of guys that can play small ball with a switching defence now:

Reggie Jackson, Norman Powell, Terrance Mann, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, Serge Ibaka and Marcus Morris

They’re one solid PG away. I’m sure abeer is somewhere envying their two star plus solid pieces approach!

you have no idea. we have the better two stars! we should be beating them at this game. look at their roster outside of their two stars and look at ours. my god. tyronn lue sure is good at making his owner pay a lot and his managers commit to sensible team-building. all hail tyronn's strategy.

Interesting! Makes things easier if Russ resigns at 20m we could keep Monk and Nunn. And potentially get below the luxury tax level with other vet mins.

    Yeah, that stings a little.

It was either from the announcers during the game last night, or maybe some other segment I saw on ESPN the other day, but they were talking about how the Clippers might be sellers at the trade deadline. That they may be trying to reduce their tax bill, even though they have the richest owner.

Was hoping that would happen so THEY could get called out for being cheap and maybe deflect from some of the (valid) criticisms that always come our way.

Yet instead they make a great move even though they have to pay an extra $20M. In a season that by all accounts they would have been justified in punting given their injuries.

On the bright side, this is such a good move for them that maybe they end up moving up to the 6 seed. Save us the embarrassment of getting eliminated from the play-in by them. Guess our season can end at the hands of the T-Wolves or someone else instead.
