no reaves. selling low on THT is already hard, but i'd do it in what is basically an even swap for trent. i don't factor in nunn because he hasn't played a single game, but reaves is a low-cost, high-impact player. we need to learn from the last time we undervalued that.

No way. Reeves is a keeper. He’s only going out(with others) if we are getting a legit star back.

even then, it better have been a haggling point. we have two years at min salary and then his early bird rights. you can't just give away useful players in those circumstances. i don't think any of the realistic names on the market (grant, maybe turner, trent, etc.) are good enough for me to throw reaves in on top of THT.

Daryl Morey has zero interest in Ben Simmons-Russell Westbrook swap
    [IMG]
But we forget sometimes that executives are ultra-competitive in their professions as well, and it’s safe to say Morey has no interest in executing a bad deal because of pressure ever again. As an aside, sources say that’s also the reason the Sixers have zero interest in the prospect of swapping Simmons for Westbrook now and alleviating the Lakers’ fit concerns with their superstar trio.

Yeah the tax is an issue, especially cause we’ve been penny pinching with Rondo and Stan Johnson 10 days.

Harris would be really useful too, he has size and can get his own bucket. Simmons, while has scoring limitations like Westbrook, is bigger and far superior defensive player. I’m sure Vogel would like to have him for his defensive scheme

If Morey wants to combine Simmons and Harris in a trade that leaves you what… Kings as a partner with Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield

Makes sense. Toronto is one of the teams we know has interest in THT from the Lowry talks.

Trent is a better shooter, better defender, bigger, ranks in the 87th percentile on unguarded catch and shoot opportunities (per Synergy), and is more developed in his NBA game.

I prefer Grant or Turner, but I understand what we're looking for and he checks those boxes.

I tune out as soon as I see “lakers interested in guard”. We have 80 guards already, good lord.

I mean... he's good young player, but how about we get a wing instead? Or a mobile younger center who can shoot from outside, for example?

He's 6-6, on our roster that qualifies him for minutes at center.

    We have 80 small guards.

Point remains, we need wings, not guards. Our only wings are old (ariza) and unproven (Johnson).

In 19-20 he played 63% of his minutes at SF. That's enough proof of concept that he can play the position. If we can't get Grant, I'd rather trade for Trent than Covington.

I’m just not sure I trade THT for a player that’s not much bigger than him. If we aren’t going all in on a player we need most and that gives us a chance at the title, why trade him. I’m not interested in players that CAN play the position, I want a player who IS that position in every sense of it. For me it’s more like Grant or bust in that regard.

This board is going to be my demise. Sure let’s give away every young player we have/had to get some other player who not going to move the needle enough to get a championship.

Meaning Rob plans on attaching at least one of them to THT and/or Nunn.

Lakers need a healthy AD to get a real understanding of what this team is. We have to wait it out until he gets back and play out the year. No other way to go.

    I
If he attaches THT, I may be done with this season.
I will be pissed if he gives away Nunn also.
