He’s a great rim defender. Offensively he can space the floor. Not the best rebounder but he’s mobile.

he's a good pairing with AD on both ends, imo. can play in the paint defensively and out of it offensively. those two, one semi-star guard and some defenders could be a quality team, imo.

I’m surprised they are throwing in the towel in Sabonis too. Must really stink to be small market sometimes.

yeah, guess they figured they'd maxed out that roster and were underperforming to boot.

sabonis, turner, brogdon, and levert are all very interesting players. tj warren (if he were available to play ever) and tj mcconnell (who's now out for the year), too. wonder what they'd ask for torrey craig.

why is that team so bad?

Honestly I think Carlisle is a bad fit for them. They had some success last season running the offense through Sabonis and Levert with all the injuries but this season they run a guard heavy offense. Brogdan, Levert and Duarte have the green light to shoot under Carlisle. And Sabonis/Turner is a weird fit for some reason.

carlisle would be a perfect fit for this roster

wish the lakers had assets to give up for turner but they really have nothing, unless indy is fine with THT+bazemore

We should see if we can get TJ Warren from them for THT and Nunn. It’s risky trading for an injured player, but we know his shot won’t be affected and his help D will be good. If his man to man D comes back to a high level, we’d pick up a borderline all star in the East for potentially peanuts.

He has good size, defends well and shoots 40% from 3. While THT seems redundant with Lebron and WB and Nunn hasn’t played yet.

    WB/Rondo
    Ellington/Monk
    Warren/Ariza
    Lebron/Melo
    AD/Howard

Yah, especially with Rondo on the team, ahahha.

i get it in theory, but it's too much of a risk for me. we haven't seen warren in how long? i'd also actually like to see us play better before making any win-now trade involving THT, ironically.

i've still got my eyes on luka, and if we give up all players with potential for win-now situations, we'll be out of the running there.

Plus, Russ is not the type of player you acquire for a rebuild. Now, maybe for a salary dump this summer if they still have enough money in contracts to make it work.
I would absolutely LOVE Sabonis and Brogdon on the Lakers.

    We aren't getting Turner.

Wonder if GS does, though? Stretch 5 that can block shots and you can pair with Green defensively?

    Yikes....

I’d be ecstatic to get Warren or Caris Levert. Either one is exactly what we need.

    Another scorer? Why?

What we need is wing/perimeter defenders. Craig is actually the best fit of all Indiana guys. And we might get him for cheap

You don’t get a player of Warren’s caliber for so little without there being risk. It’s a medium risk high reward type of scenario.

Indiana has the missing pieces for so many teams.

    Sabonis
    Turner
    Warren
    Levers
    Brogdan
    Craig

Any of those guys are a real difference maker.
