Cat is out of the house. Ben Simmons made sure of that. He is a petulant child who cares about celebrity more than his profession. He should be called out and he is also a mental weakling.

I just have no respect for Ben Simmons. While I don’t like Embiid’s antics, that’s all they are, and if he were on my team I doubt I’d care, because he’s a really good player and he clearly works on his game. I don’t respect Simmons because he doesn’t work on his, clearly. How are you going into your sixth NBA season and you still can’t shoot at all? How are you passing up open layups in playoff games because you’re afraid to maybe get fouled and go to the line because you can’t make them? Yeah he got all the blame when they lost, and that wasn’t cool, but at the same time he deserved most of it, he’s the superstar, he’s supposed to carry them, not absolutely vanish. I’m sure Doc (gross that I’m defending him) and Embiid and the rest are tired of this happening, they likely see his lack of progress and are frustrated.

Contrast that with Lonzo who completely transformed his J from low on left side of his head (thanks Pops) to normal decent motion high enough on right side in one year while playing.

we'll see. people ignore that simmons is an all-nba defender who can basically play 5 spots defensively AND get your team into offensive sets. he's draymond green plus more offensive versatility. but philly (and apparently most fans) focus on his inability/disinterest in the realm of scoring.

again, all this started because people blew up a play where he dished instead of went for the bucket. this stuff can happen. the game shouldn't have been there. if doc was a genius and embiid was even 1/3 as good as he thinks he is, it wouldn't have been. but instead, you losers lost to the hawks. you were so mad you immediately joined the throngs to pin it on your second most valuable player, and now you're f***ing reaping. reap, idiots. you sowed hard.

    team simmons. philly is diseased.

edit: sorry, can't let this go.

all you you had to was shut your mouth. if you truly believed ben simmons was your weak link, the smart play is to insist he isn't, then move him before anyone else was wise to it. if ben was more popular in your locker room, thybulle missing the ft would have been the story. WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE FREE THROWS?!!! so whatever. you guys don't like him and think he's the problem. then why be incredibly stupid about it?

makes me wonder if maybe...you guys are the problem, and he's the only one there doing things right.

"but why didn't he do doc's defensive drills?" f*** doc. seriously. he tried pulling a power move and got shut down. because he's a punk.

He shot 0 shots in 4Q in all series against the Hawks. And a -1.1 in the 4Q. Positive in the first 3 quarters.
He's a max player. Have not developed ANY area of his game that had defects since he joined the league. And all his act since they got kicked out the PO is of a spoiled child.
Embiid and for sure Doc are not examples of good people management, but here they are not for sure the villains. Ben simply doesn't care and can't handle pressure, simple as that.

Not sure who jumps on him. Toronto? Sacramento? Indiana? I can't see a top 10 team making a move and he's not good enough to make one so why bother taking a leap like this?

I mean, scroo Simmons but that doesn't make Embiid a good guy. Embiid sucks, never liked him. He is an arrogant *ss, always has been. Very good center, not an all time great center. I'm not going to concede one inch to Embiid. Once a fool, always a fool.

are the first three quarters not part of the game? most of the game?

fine. hasn't developed. so trade him. don't publicly blame him for team failures to soothe your own ego.

it's b*******. maybe they're all losers. but trying to paint him as the lone loser is just weak sauce. and expecting him to take it on the chin is arrogance that is getting properly rewarded.

I think we mix arrogance with someone who isn't filtered like 90% of the world due to whatever. I think it's time we allow people to be who they are. Truth matters. Regardless of the messenger. Sometimes that messenger says things that are dumb. Sometimes they say things that are legit.

truth does matter. do you really think embiid is a conveyor of truth? he honestly reminds of shaq, who also claimed to be and was purported to be a conveyor of truth, but really these guys just brashly say things that suit their world view and are wrong as or more often than they are right.

shaq pinned all the laker woes on kobe, who went on to greater success without shaq than shaq did without him. he wasn't telling the truth. he was telling his truth.

This is how I look at it. They all suck, I could care less what happens to them. They all deserve it.

That’s my thing here. Deserved or not, once the coach and star player throw a guy under the bus that’s it. That boat has sunk and you need to trade him.

They tanked his trade value and are now being stubborn and dragging this out. Gotta trade him and move on.

I can't hate Doc. His voice cracking during that press conference after Kobe died was the same sound my chest made when I found out. I can't hate him ever again.

I dislike Morey a great deal so I find this somewhat entertaining.

I agree with the ones who think that Ben is acting like an a***ole.
But, I have a question for you: what do you think about the way he was treated by Doc and his teammates after the defeat against Atlanta, in the last playoffs? In my honest opinion, they fu**ed up first acting like Ben was the only one problem of the team in that moment.

i think simmons tried to play it with more class all summer, and when he and his agency realized that wasn't going to get the job done, he had to resort to this stuff. again, i blame philly's organization for the mess. they were the cause, and they could have stopped the current behavior at several points by just doing the right things. now everybody's doing the wrong things.
