he should have then. for real. he's going to have to really show out to get that offer next summer. reggie jackson kicked a** in a similar role last year and only managed 2/22--and that's after he'd proven elsewhere that he could carry some load. if nunn fielded any 10 million dollar offers, he was a fool not to take them.

jackson is old compared to nunn, n as far as $ goes he must know what hes dealing with signing here n then with klutch, it got kcp underseved millions in his 1st 2 yrs here. we'll just have to wait for season to start, for all of caruso intangibles no 9ne ever mentioned how injury hes been the last 2 yrs he was here

    I thought 69....nvm. *
it was beautiful to see the size and skill of Pau and Bynum, along with the coaching of Phil, basically neutralize Dwight.

the injuries are a fair point, but he was always available in the playoffs. and he played 64 and 58 games in shortened seasons, so not exactly mr. glass material, either.

kcp got money when we had cap space to spare. we won't have that for nunn.

i hope nunn can step in and impact games like caruso (though, obviously, in a different manner), but i don't expect it, much like the market didn't.

I don't think it's a totally fair assessment that Nunn won't be able to impact games to the extent of Caruso. Caruso has become a little overrated, I get he is a fan favourite, has intangibles and is a good defender - but it's not like what he brings isn't replaceable. Caruso didn't really make a jump in his impact until his third season surrounded by Lebron and AD. I think we should give Nunn the same chance in his third season coming up.

Also it's been reported he turned down quite a lot more money to come here.

agree to disagree, i guess. caruso's strengths were a perfect fit with our roster. can you say the same about nunn, based on observations thus far?

and i think the vague "significantly" is doing a lot of work in that tweet (that was dictated to woj by nunn's agent).

anyway, i'll be thrilled to be wrong here.

I don't think Nunn will be able to match Caruso's defensive impact. But he will bring more offensively. His net impact may be the same or greater.

What are you talking about, Kh …. he didn’t “last” this year’s playoffs? He wasn’t 100%, with an ankle or something, but he still went out there and played. All 6 games at 20 minutes per. Not understanding why you’re trying to make a case that he’s this fragile injury prone player to shore up your argument he won’t be missed much. Anyone that takes the charges and goes to the floor and plays as hard as he does is going to get dinged up. There was a concussion protocol mixed in during the season as well.

we've got a season or two ahead of us to think about the AC decision. i currently hate it. i could imagine a world in which i look silly later. i can also imagine that he keeps doing what he did in chicago's first preseason game and nunn keeps doing what he did in ours (schroder impression).

Caruso was cool...he won't be missed though. He was a great story nevertheless.
