Nothing but love for Pau. He came at a critical moment. He insta-connected with Kobe. He became a two time champion. And he had a huge impact on Kobe's legacy (5 rings compared to 3 without him).

    Trevelin Queen?

I thought this was a nickname for none other than Soften. Soften the Trevelin Queen, seems fitting.

Now put 16 up in the rafters already.

He doesn't meet my requirements/expectations, and maybe that's harsh.

If you put him up there, you have to add a dozen other guys too that contributed as much as he did, but had much longer Laker careers.

All time greats, ones with jerseys retired, don't need their teammates to tell you to quit being a white swan. Kobe got the best out of him, and if he does make it, he owes it to Kobe.

He will be there in 5 years when he is inducted into the Hall of Fame. God willing.

Sorry, no offence, but BOO. 2 rings and it all kickstarted when he joined the team and one hell of a player.

Yeah, I don't expect everyone to agree. Lebron isn't there for me either. Yet. Need to be a Laker longer.

There was a period of time we all called Pau soft and couldn't wait to trade him. Is that your HOF jersey hanging type of player? Not me.

That was after the 2 rings and making the finals because he joined the team in his first season. Plus being in the Hall.

Hmmmm. I can't think of any. Who does not have a jersey in the rafters who was the second best player on two championship teams?

And disqualifying him because he struggled in his fourth playoffs here is like disqualifying Shaq from having a jersey retired because he got fat and lazy after winning three.

That's some company. Just shows what kind of career he had. I think he will and should have his number retired here. I think he earned it, but also Kobe would've pushed for it and that means a lot to Jeanie and Rob.

I just wish we ended things on better notes with both Gssols.

Damn, I say. DAMN! I honestly didn't think Gasol would have made that list. Impressive.

Gasol in HOF and jersey in our rafters is a no brainer

Pau in the rafters is a lock and it’s not even close. He is as responsible for those two championships as any of the already-retired players are for the rings they won. We don’t need to wait for his HOF induction.

hmmm...the mccollum one in the first video looks like a foul on zu to me. only luka's is blatant, imo. if they call that the way the videos suggest, harden should retire now and save himself the shame.

    they won't, of course.

the veer off path call is good as long as they keep it to shot attempts. if they overreach and call fouls on anyone who beats their defender and then zags behind them on the dribble, it's overkill that impedes the game.

harden finally makes an appearance in the final video (the arm-hook, or "the harden"), and they choose maybe the weakest version i've ever seen him use.

trae young seems to have pissed somebody important off, on the other hand.

So, if they actually called these consistently, Harden would average about 12ppg.
