If you thought believing in flat earth was crazy, just you wait...

Something tells me Kyrie is just going to retire early. He doesn't seem to want to play basketball, despite all that talent.

So THT competes for a starter spot means that if he either shoots lights out from 3 in camp, OR plays lockdown D, they will start him. If he does both, then he is a lock to start. If he does neither, he is on the bench and back to earning minutes.

How many years back did his flat earth ridiculousness go? When for decades there's been pictures from space. And to my knowledge in the history of mankind no one, not one person has ever been documented to have fallen off one of its edges. :D What would happen to oceans? Mind bottling!!

Mind bottling, lol. The whole flat earth argument stems around (wait for it) a world-wide conspiracy. No one falls off the edge because our domed, pizza-shaped earth is surrounded by a huge ice wall (thus keeping our oceans good and oceaney), guarded by all the world’s superpowers trying to force the spherical earth narrative, because somehow the world’s superpowers think it’s that important we remain in the dark thinking the earth is spherical.

All photos, and all first-hand accounts by every astronaut is a fabrication, as is the moon landing. All lies to keep the sheeple docile and obedient.

There’s a great Youtuber channel called Greater Sapien that explains and debunks all this clown stuff.

That said, even though I have no love for Kyrie, I don’t think he was serious about this b*******, just more messing around or trying to get people challenge conventional narratives. But then again, Kyrie is Kyrie.

Defensively....Davis can play weakside patrolling Center by guarding the SF or PF and letting Lebron match up against the other teams big men.

Offensively with two shaky shooters like Lebron and Westbrook needing space to operate, adding two more perimeter shooters to the starting lineup is the right move. Baze might give us energy off the bench ala Kuz so run with Ariza

I agree with you, Rock, except that Bron isn't a shaky shooter anymore. He's a pretty average shooter. NBA Averages are 36.5% for 3, and Bron shot... wait for it - 36.5%. Average FG % is 46.6%, Bron shot 51% (because he takes good shots under the basket, of course). His 70-ish% FT is definitely under 77%, which is NBA average, but overall he's an OK shooter at this point in his career. Not more, not less.

Russ is shaky for sure, though.

    You make valid points, regardless.

Small market teams are backed into a corner in the current CBA - you draft a good player that may not necessarily be a max but you have to pay up.

If you don’t a random team like Charlotte or Atlanta will throw the max at them and you lose a valuable piece for nothing. And in most cases you were tanking to get that piece so it hurts twice as bad.

In my opinion, you gotta trade the iffy max players before their extensions. Otherwise you get stuck with a bad contract.

I suppose we aren't hurting too bad at the 3 but I'm still surprised on the pass of James Ennis

THT has some weight and reach and can put in some time there.

Bazemore also 7' wingspan and 6'5" but otherwise is really undersized at 195lb. That's a little light on the feet to be taking on the Jimmy Butlers of the league.

And that's it, Ariza is not all that at the 3. Not anymore. Bron has said he's sliding to the 4. This is pretty much confirmed at this point.

We'll see who comes up on the waiver wire pickups

Maybe Bron won't slide to the 4 after all? I mean, he has slimmed down quite a bit. Kind of odd timing if you are moving up a position, no? I know I'm going to get butchered on this board for saying this, but I would not be surprised at all if Carmelo starts in the frontcourt alongside Lebron. The weight that Lebron has lost will allow him to better keep up with opposing small forwards. Melo could defend the power forwards. It has been mentioned that Ariza is pretty much power forward these days, so there you go, he is your back up power forward. And, of course, AD and Bron could still get minutes there as well. So, power forward is stocked up fairly well.

    PF-Anthony, Ariza
    SF-James, THT (2 and 3) Bazemore (2 and 3)
    C-Davis,Howard, Jordan
    PG-Westbrook, Nunn, Rondo
    SG-Ellington, Monk, Reeves

MP Jr. made a HUGE leap from year one to two. But can he be the third best player on a contender? Because that's how he's being paid now.

I don't see that from watching him, but putting that stat line up at 22 when you're not stat padding on a lotto team says something. If he's not that, they can definitely dump him down the road, bottom feeders will line up to get him to be their #1 or #2 guy.
