thats fine but am not wrong bout this team being one of the worse offense in the league and bottom 3 at 3pt shooting, Ben wont fix ANY of that problem especially with Vogel lack of offense creativity

Ben would work if you want to make him a playmaking center.

    Maybe.

Looking at Ben Simmons as a Laker.

    The Good:
-Insane defensive lineup with Simmons, KCP, Caruso, Lebron and AD
-Nightmare in transition with Simmons and Lebron
-Possible Lebron replacement who could learn from one of the best in the game

    The Bad:
-Woeful shooter. Bad shooter all around
-Mentally weak. Zero confidence in his ability to shoot the basketball and make championship winning plays
-Spacing would be a nightmare. Would need a 3pt shooting big like Olynyk and a sharpshooter guard to play alongside him

If we were to put together a package of Kuz and sign and trade Shroder, I think the Sixers jump at it.

I don't know where anyone was saying Ben will solve our 3 pt shooting issues. Since your saying Vogel has no offensive creativity, why would it matter if we have 3 point shooters?? Our players missed numerous open 3s, that is not on Vogel.

Hard to imagine how the Lakers would come up with a package for him.

Westbrook is at 44 million next season then 47 million as a player option in 22. That's a lot of cash.

because offense is our problem not defense n ben doesnt help much with spacing, i wouldn't trade for Ben even if it was possible

I can't believe some of you want Ben Simmons when our glaring weakness is shooting.

Sure, let's double down on our horrible offense by bringing in a guy that is scared to shoot more than 4 times in a pivotal Game 7. He'll also occupy 1/3 of our salary cap, so we lose any flexibility moving forward, but hey, maybe Bron can fix his shooting yips in 2-3 years just in time for Bronny to join the Lakers. We'll throw away our title hopes but at least we'll have the #1 defense in the league.... even though we are #1 already. Makes total sense.

We need scorers not shooters. Folks fall in love with three point percentage like it's some magic formula. I'd rather have a guy that can get buckets period over one that relies mostly on his three pointer to score.

I'm talking general philosophy on the game period. Specifically on Simmons, I would value his skill set over KCP, Matthews and Kuzma all day every day. Of course those three wouldn't be enough to trade for him though. We could find "shooters " they are everywhere.

I didn't say he was, yet he is still more valuable than all the "shooters " we have on this team put together. Because we have Lebron and AD. We could easily find a couple of "shooters " at the vet minimum.

Ben wouldn't do much standing in the corner waiting for bron kick outs

Ben Simmons needs to become a Laker. We don't need shooting. We're going to win it with playmakers all over the floor. We can't beat Golden State playing their style. We're going to win it with playmakers and Ben Simmons making plays.

    -Magic Johnson probably
