    Lot to unpack there...
    - looking to add 2 players
    - targeting another PG and wing
    -Dudz time is over

I think out of those PGs that Collision is the best and has the most to offer. But where it he mentally? He already turned us down once. Seems like IT has the inside track since he's working out with 2 of our 3 superstars.

It's also surprising that we have no interest in adding another big.

The big thing surprises me. I mean...we already AD will not play a few games, we're really short on the 4/5 even for a small-ball NBA.

    Westbrook at the 5??

I had to look up who Mike James was, the only one I knew retired in 2014. No thanks for Thomas. Old, short, zero defensive ability. Collision? We’re gonna fall for that again? So he can retire again mid-season when his cult guilt kicks in and he wants to go door to door preaching again? I don’t get wanting more guards, we have plenty, but ok.

Three No's for each... Another defensive wing in reserve and a back-up 4. Each guard would cut into Nunn's time.

Why is it so complicated? Or let the youngin's get some burn! White Chocolate...Reeves...Ayayi.

    :This:
It’s glaringly obvious to me that this roster is missing a 6’6-6’8 guy to guard athletic wings. At this stage of Ariza’s career he’s better suited defending 4’s.

Agree... This leads me to think that Ariza will log healthy minutes at the 3.

That's why I brought up Rondo. I think the writing is on the wall that we want another PG. And I'd take Rondo over any of the other recent guys we're reportedly interested in.

And I don't think it's unreasonable to want to have another traditional PG on the roster for depth purposes. Nunn should get the bulk of the back-up PG minutes when everyone is healthy, but he's not a true PG. As it is right now, if Westbrook has to miss some time nursing an injury, that shifts a lot of primary playmaking workload back onto Bron's shoulders.

But yeah, the key is that such a player would have to be okay being a "break glass in case of emergency" kind of player, and not a regular part of the rotation.

I'd be down to bring back Cousins. I still think he has something to offer after his injuries and he can shoot from range. He can play some 4 and 5 and that's another big body. He doesn't need to play 30 minutes a night and I think if he gave us 15-18 he could thrive. On a vet minimum hes a good pick up and I think he is in the "I've got to show out mode" to get one more decent contract. He also plays the role of enforcer which is another reason I hated to lose Morris.

Garrison Matthews would also be another guy that would be a great pick up on a vet minimum. Shot almost 40% from deep last 2 years and at 6'5" can play some decent defense.

Milsap is also floating around out there but I think adding him at this point is redundant with our current roster as far as age goes. He has regressed quite a bit

We're guard heavy as it is though. Nunn can fill some of those minutes and THT can also bring the ball up the floor. Depending on rotations, Bron could take early rest in the 1st quarter to come back with the 2nd unit while Russ gets a breather with gaps filled by THT and Nunn. Those 2 are gonna have to play some minutes at PG with Melo, Malik, Ellington & Ariza Playing 2-4's

But you're totally right about using him in case of injury, he would be useful in that capacity and in the locker room. I just don't see enough of a role for him here honestly

I would rather take a chance on Mudiay or Exum over older guys who haven't been in the league in a couple years. At least they're young with upside and we have a really strong development group. I get they want a vet with experience and aren't going to go that direction though. And since they're going that route, Teague might be a better play because he's still an active NBA player.
