Being hurt all the time and having talent is worse than a marginal player being available all the time.

This is exactly what we need. An athletic 4/5. Saw this video yesterday on Harry Giles that was interesting.

I don’t know anything about Giles but read in the comments he tore his ACL twice already in high school.

If Andrew Bynum is still in the same shape as from this video 3 years ago, he would be entertaining just to have on the bench as the 3rd string center insurance in case both Dwight/Gasol go down with injuries (knock on wood).

Fits the whole ex-Laker narrative lol. The added plus is with a center depth chart of Dwight/Gasol/Bynum, we would have the 3 best centers in the league from 2012 lol

Yeah I don’t understand the use of that footage and him supposedly trying again? He did give it his best shot and that IS? from 3 years ago?

Bynum would not last 5 games in the NBA right now.

Re: the depth chart you and many have in their comments .... I believe Marc is going to start. Makes the most sense. Dwight will probably play more minutes but his body can take coming off the bench. Makes no sense to have Gasol warm up his older and less athletic body and then sit. Plus he can quarterback passes from the high post or 3 point line for cutters and RW ought damn well better move and cut (Vogel and staff) when LeBron or Marc have the ball. Or set picks and roll. Dude is wasted spotting up for a 3 when they won't respect him out there.

It's either Marc starting, or AD starting at the 5, which would be better. Depending on the matchup, of course.

Marc has to start, doesn't make sense coming off the bench against quick 2nd units.

We need to impose our game and rotation, other teams are the ones that need to adjust. He also helps with the ball movement, which is key early in the game to get the guys going. And LeBron also likes to start and read the game, Gasol will help on that

Gasol starting is perfect for spacing and ball movement. He doesn’t need to play more than like 20 minutes a game I think. Same for Dwight. Leaves about 8 minutes per game for AD at 5. That will preserve all of them. In the playoffs AD should mostly play 5 but we can afford to wait until then.

You wouldn't play me last year after the trade, but now I'm the starter?
