    Yes to all.

But It’s the really off putting thing about today’s nba I think. The value of shooting is overshadowing everything. Guys like Booker and Trae are really good players, but in these
Playoffs their impact is HOF god-like. If your role players string together a few good shooting games (Crowder) and the other team’s put up bagels, you win.
Edit: right now for example: clips may not win, but Tarance Mann, a 7ppg scorer is hot and has 31pts in 24 minutes.

yeah, i think most of us around here don't love that games are long-range shooting contests. i wonder if that opinion is shared by the causal fans or anyone in the league office, though.

i like watching good offense that results in dunks as much as good offense that results in threes, but one is worth more than the other by such a large degree that it's hard to argue against going for it.

Frank also said something after the season that is accurate: when you're two superstars are out, that affects your spacing and shot quality.

So, while we can go back and look at the game logs, I don't even know what legitimacy that would have....just a weird year.

I'm all for adding 2 shooters and possibly resigning McClemore to a min or something like that.

The biggest issue to me isn't the shooting even though I think we need it; my concerns are: A.) Health for our superstars. B.) Secondary ball-handler/creator (Brogdon archetype) C.) Wing depth.

As bad as the Lakers shooting was, when AD was slapping people around in game 2 and 3, Lakers were winning. Lakers lost this because AD was finished. Had he stayed healthy, the Lakers would be facing the Clippers right now.

    he was.

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/batumni01.html

everybody else passed on him because they watched him play the last couple of years. i think we would have considered him more strongly if we didn't have the league's best player at his position and 13 million invested in his backup.

nic batum would not have had the same opportunity nor done anything to impact our season or playoff result.

finally, we can't sign every single FA. some teams are going to get some that are good that we didn't get. and when we do make good vet min signings (*COUGH*MARCGASOL*COUGH*), we complain incessantly about them anyway!

    Batum making the league min?

    Jackson was also really good.

Clips did a good job building that team.

he was injured and its the hornets, 2ndly we needed all the wing depth we could get, even if this team was healthy we did not have enough depth to handle pg/kawahi, kcp is decent but we saw all of last season he couldn't guard either guys, Mathews couldn't guard any wing respectably either n he signed for vet min, theres enough of those contracts to go around for everyone but you right everyone complaining,

I'd like to swap Kuz for Covington, and I wouldn't mind keeping Kief, if he got with his brother over the summer and worked on his offensive game. I wouldn't complain if Matthews or Trez didn't come back either.

If Bron and AD are so inclined...moving Kuz, KCP, and Trez to DC would get it done.

(Not saying I endorse this by any stretch)

Russ' fire and competitive spirit is next level. He can raise the competitive level of the team, which during a long regular season can be helpful (but his body and talent can't cash those checks nearly as often these days) . He can relieve Bron of some ball handling duties and create for himself. He is literally a walking triple double. But he is a guard who you dare to shoot anywhere outside of the paint. Spacing would be a nightmare and the two other starters would each have to be elite shooters (no way to get that kind of positional talent).

oh man. i enjoyed the title, but you have to be really careful about letting players be gms (same with coaches, tbh). if we follow drummond with westbrook, we'll have jumped the shark.

Those names sell the tickets. Everyone would tune in to see what's next for Westbrook. Will he finally learn how to play under control? Is he a team player? Can he help make plays and carry the team with Bron on the bench? Can he win the championship? The narrative is strong with this one.
