Morey's trade value expectations for a defensive point forward with no jumper that falls apart in the yoffs are delusional as well. He's not Harden, CP3 or for that matter Russ...

this is what i mean. they clearly couldn't keep him connected internally, and they took an impossible negotiating position.

during this time, a lot of what you'd like to get in trade has moved, FAs signed, etc.

for example, if your ask was lower, does OKC give you some firsts and kemba instead of just cutting him?

maybe i'm wrong and they get close to the haul they were asking, but i doubt it at this point. they can't afford, as a supposed contender, to walk into the season like this, playing various forms of chicken.

If we can't get milsap I'll take a flyer on the kid DJ Wilson. Young athletic & can stretch the floor. Definitely serviceable for 10-15mins when AD sits.

didn't know he was out there. not a bad option. we're familiar with cacock, too, and he's fine to me as a last option big.

If we could start Wes and a Handy/Vogel defensively improved Monk, with his athleticism and speed, we would still be badda** on D. Matthews never got a chance for any getting into a rhythm on offense. He’s started his whole life and then coming off the bench was sporadic as hell. But to me he looked considerably quicker and stronger and better on defense than Green. But it seems like they’re going to move on from him. He could still light it up a few times last year when he got some minutes, just like Danny. But Green got to start.

I expect Carmelo to be so happy and motivated and Russ to be a monster, playing smarter than ever in his career because of LeBron and Davis and coming home to has to have been a lifetime dream in winning a championship with the Lakers among family and friends. Am predicting great team comraderie like 2 seasons back no doubt.

No kidding, Lebron is bigger than most "bigs" out there anyway. We don't have guys like Charles Oakley and Karl Malone in the league anymore.

I still crack up thinking when he was on the c-bags with the long hair and someone in GT called him “f****** Viking” with disdain.

could really use another big that can play 4/5 and stretch the floor.

Kevin Love would be perfect but I worry about running into chemistry issues again with adding guys in the middle of the season and asking starters to take a step back.

might as well just get Millsap if that can be done.

Ehh, good dribbling and scoring, but horrible D. Hard pass.

    Let LAFC have the bum.

Apparently we had some interest in Lou Will. Can't compete with those strip club wings though at Magic City

With higher upside. Monk and Melo are capable of microwave offense. Nunn at least has the athleticism and youth to make a play defensively. Lou isn't going to give you anything on D

As would I, if that's a possibility. I think the name and ties to Rob might make him a priority over Wes.

Funny thing is, we sign him and we're soooo old. Nets sign him and he's the key to guarding Bron in the finals.
