Would you believe RFA at the end of 2022 season?

maybe wait until he signs with klutch.

i think he signs the supermax extension in dallas, gives them a year or two, and then demands out. we need to have the sleigh loaded up for it.

Problem is, we won't have sufficient trade assets. We could line up a Max FA offer for his timeline, but we won't have near the kind of pieces + picks that we sent New Orleans for AD.

Yes, like that but it was a joke really.

Yes, no way he turns down the supermax contract. I could see him getting frustrated if they don’t make the finals in the next couple years and asking out too. It will be interesting to see want they end up doing with Porzingis this summer, since he and Luka don’t get along.

porzingis is an interesting buy low candidate. on the one hand, he may never be healthy. but if he got there, he'd be a legit third star type. i don't think he's a good fit with us, but someone might bite and just give dallas some salary relief/flexibility in return.

I don’t like Porzingis attitude and don’t think he’s a hard worker. Going to a strip club during Covid, when he’s injured is not a good look. That’s not taking into account all his injury concerns. I think he could be a 3rd star kind of player on the right team. It will be interesting what Dallas gets in return if they trade him.

We need Bronny to get drafted by Dallas. Then Bron can go play with his son and Luka can be AD’s new son. :LLLLLebronlaughing:

yeah, i don't want any part of porzingis

aside from the injuries, guy is a choker. not to mention his off-court issues like he and his brothers insisting on having a say in personnel decisions in NY

Gotta wait a little longer unless he starts making demands, but I think he's more likely than Luka.

They would be smart to move him once he signs his first Max contract for a package like what they got for AD, and target players like Ingram that are happy to play in a small market. Zion's fam wants that big spotlight on him. I could see GSW making a move to give Steph one last shot. A package starting with Wiseman.

hmmm...maybe make the playoffs then complain about how your teammates aren't good enough? you have an allstar wing and keep finishing 11th.

From The Athletic's article on SVG's departure

If Ball bolts, S&T Dennis for Bledsoe? He's on the books till 2023 and is a part of the Klutch family.

Bledsoe has been a workout partner of Bron's, but I don't see what he would add to the team. He is not a playmaker, and he is not a good shooter.

I'm all in on getting Aquaman at some point in his career. But in today's NBA, I don't pay him over the $10M MLE. He's owed a little over $17m each year for the next two. That's too much for skills and our needs. I could see us getting him on the deal after his next one, maybe when he's 33ish.

I agree, he isn't an ideal fit and wouldn't be anywhere near a top choice or replacement. But I'm guessing he's got Bron's endorsement and he knows his role off the bench... more than I can say for DS.

I’m not a believer in Zion’s longevity. I think he flames out early due to injuries, his body breaking down.
