Hey, if the right guy comes along, everyone is expendable. If we can find a guy who brings solid defense AND is a great offensive wing, hell, Vando is gone in a heartbeat. The thing is, at his price and with his defensive skills, good luck finding that replacement. If it happens, great, but I don't have much belief that this could happen.

Rob was supposed to pull one out of his butt instead of Lonnie Walker. ;) :D

Plus, it seems to me that we will have some chances to get some plays that work for him and have him work and some of the possessions he has had this year that have troubled him. You gotta remember that all the players are doing this work on the fly, there has been very little opportunity to practice different things and get these guys really working together. It has all been done in the heat of battle where winning was paramount. I think a solid off season will really help this squad. And after this playoff run, they will really understand exactly what they need to work on.

Additionally, Pelinka will know exactly what needs to be tweaked. I like Vando, I think he fills a solid need of the team but recognize he is limited. I think he can be a solid role player for us.

Maybe GS would like to do the place holder trick again with DLO? :D Pure hypothetical question …. would DLO around that price range for Draymond in like a short 2 or 3 years deal interest anyone? Sure would help AD out. Then find another decent point or combo veteran guard with decent size and defense to play with Reaves and Schroder IF we can keep him for not too much? I realize probably zip chance it would interest GS.

no thanks to Draymond. Warriors will be happy to get rid as well. He was so bad last year in their Championship run they had to sit him down a bunch of games. Looney is already a more important player for them.

Meh..there isn't any way Golden State could absorb a S&T period. However if Draymond wanted to take our MLE and look to get a better deal afterwards? I'm all in on Draymond.

They are way to far over the salary cap to do a S&T with anybody.

Nobody is trading anything of significance, in a deal with Malik Beasley as the headliner. Definitely not A

    That's just not true.
Draymond is a hall of famer. I don't like his fit with LeBron/AD

Draymond would fit like a glove with Lebron and AD. The only question is how much of a paycut is he willing to take.

offense would be a mess; just like with russ.

and i think draymond will opt in if he can get a trade where he wants, like chris paul did. then that team has to deal with his contract headache.

i'm guessing this the route he goes, too, as i'm sure his agent will find nobody is going to pay him more than his opt in, nor is anyone committing more than a couple years at a decent salary, imo.

Draymond is a high end Vanderbilt..I think he'd work great here. Way too expensive for us though.

    QFT.

The reason Draymond worked so well for the Warriors is he had two of the best three point shooters of all time playing with him. We don't.

They wouldn't have 4 rings without Draymond either. The guy is a d*** on the court, but he is most definitely an impact player. High basketball IQ, good passer, and good defenders aren't floating around in abundance in the NBA. He's just too expensive for us.

signing him after we took out his team in large part because he was such a non-threat on offense would be so eerily similar to russ.

    just please no.

We didn't beat them because of Green. Klay and Poole are critical parts of the offense...we took them out. And for the ten thousandth time...Houston started 5 guys 6'7 and under, against the biggest team in the playoffs. Yet for some reason, folks are stuck on blaming Russell Westbrook for that series. It doesn't make anymore sense today, than it did in the bubble.

Nobody really guarded Green in the 4 titles they won either.

I suppose together Bron, AD, and Green would be a decent size front court, but you still lack the bruising center
