Should have done the deal in the summer. 2 picks now for Conley and Beasley, no Bogdanovic? No thanks.

    Omfg, hope it's a joke.

Only explanation is LeBron going berserk indoors' and Rob and Buss being scared

i don't think it's a joke; but i do think there's more to the story. no way we just hand over two unprotected picks for that package without something else going on. i'm almost certain of this.

I was typing out the same thing. Maybe the deal expands, but this reads like clickbait to rehash the original asking price from Ainge, which is absurd to say the least.

It's worth noting that this "intel" came from Tim MacMahon, who's essentially an ESPN beat reporter for the Jazz in addition to a few other teams. This also came from a larger piece in which he quotes exclusive interviews with Ainge, the Jazz's owner and their coach. Safe to say, this is Ainge's spin on whatever negotiations actually took place.

I'd be happy with that, even if we had to throw in a second rounder or two to get it done. We turn Russ's $47 million salary slot into three solid players. On draft night we'd still have two picks to trade and enough matching salary if an opportunity arises.

    Conley / Schroeder / Bev
    Beasley / Reaves / Walker / Christie
LeBron / Brown Jr. / JTA
    Hachimura / Vanderbilt / Gabriel
    AD / Bryant / Jones

Those three Jazz guys patch up the holes in our roster nicely, I assume we'd also send them some combination of Lonnie, Gabriel and Jones.

Yeah that’s more like it. Ok, I think I’d pull the trigger there. Maybe move Bev and Lonnie in a second deal to clear out the logjam at guard.

One thing I have found myself thinking is that Gabriel plays particularly well with Russ. Will he play as well with Schroeder feeding him the ball?

They should probably meet there. Russ, one pick for some useful players, depth, better fit. Then some combination of Bev, Lonnie, Jones for someone more expensive (longer contract?) to reduce the number of players, invest in the future, and to save Ham from himself.
Sounds good to me - pull the trigger.

Once again, Rob overplayed his hand. This guy has to be the worst negotiator / poker player of ALL time man.

How do you go from Kyrie, to Hield/Turner, to THIS? For BOTH picks?!

If those picks are unprotected too? My God...help this franchise man.

I'm fine if we give up one pick but NOT two picks man...this trade is good but it's not putting us over the top.

He's also waiting to do this trade when we're what, 54 games in? He might as well have done that Hield/Turner trade beg of the year, but noooo...Rob thought the price would only go down as we got closer to the deadline. Turns out the price actually went up...this feels a lot like SoCal real estate to me. Keep waiting for prices to go down but they just never do...

Oh and IF we make this trade - we better be shipping out Beverley too in a separate deal with Walker...I really don't want to see the 3-guard lineup of Bev, Conley and Schroder! Cuz you KNOW it's gonna happen

It's kind of ridiculous that we have to ship out guys to save our stupid a** coach from himself.

Every year I gotta talk about a dumb coach...we took Vogel for granted. He literally had an all-time BAD roster. Literally more than half of that team is OUT of the league now or in fricking china.

No idea if this guy is legit/plugged in in Philly, but he was saying that it was either the Mavs or staying in Brooklyn for Kyrie before it happened. I'd be fine with this, Harris gets a lot of s*** from fans but he's solid and really durable. Having 2/3 of LeBron, Harris and Hachimura on the court at all times would be a massive improvement over the frontcourt we started the season with. Hopefully we'd do another trade to bring in a ballhandler like Rozier.

I’d also be happy with either Bogdanovic (Bojan or Bogdanovic) in place of Hield. Just some long range sniper would be great in a second deal or three way.
