Players control everything now. If Kyrie pulls a Harden type of thing, the Nets may be forced to take a lesser deal. It's rare talent doesn't get their way, although the Nets didn't trade KD a few months back... This will be interesting.

wood's expiring, so is bullock. dinwiddie's only got one year after this. bertans is only partially guaranteed the year after.

they have lots of options and can beat any offer from us, imo. but...do they want to?

Well...Stephen A was saying a couple of weeks ago, that Kyrie was still telling folks that he was going to the Lakers, if it didn't work out in Brooklyn. It's the NBA..crazy stuff happens. Iol I wonder what Lebron's twitter account is looking like right now.

Also, remember the Mavs/Rondo situation. Could be some PTSD. But desperation about keeping Luka long term may squash any past trauma.

Had a couple of messages asking what's going on with Irving. Obviously everyone's heard the news. Will share my thoughts below...

    1. Did not hear anything about Irving until the news this AM, so I'm fairly confident LAL was unaware of what was happening on Irving's end. Likely nothing was orchestrated by them and they probably were not in touch with Irvin's camp about any of this prior.

    2. Still no word from the pipelines I'm connected to, so it means LAL does not feel it is a strong possibility at this time. Emphasis on the "at this time." If talks start & pick up, given that the deadline is approaching, things will likely kick into full gear and I may have more to share.

Exciting stuff to think about though!! All the best everyone!!!

Over half the West is in within reach of a playoff spot, this uphill battle stuff is getting blown way out of proportion.

This potential trade has no chance of being a "meh" move for us. He either pushes us to the next level, bringing exactly what we need -- or he goes crazy at some point and we go down in flames. There's no in-between here. It's a definition of "high risk, high reward".

I'm waiting on the Kyrie preferred destination list to come out soon...then it gets real interesting. He's still in the driver's seat IMO, Toronto has a lot of valuable players too...I doubt that he wants to play in Canada though. Could end up being a 3-4 team blockbuster with Simmons going to the Raptors.

Well, at least the trade deadline won’t be boring, teams already putting out their pitches via these reporters

There is still the possibility Kyrie will not want Dallas and state so. For sure you do not take the risk of "convincing him" in a couple of months if that is the case. I don't really think Dallas contends with him anyways. They would be good for sure. Kyrie been showing some Lebron love lately and reminiscing on their past so let's see what happens here.
