Lakers need a 3rd star. Lebron has one more year to get a title. If he has two more, cool, but for sure one more. Get the third guy and that will lessen the load for both him and AD. And AD needs to be in the gym all summer getting his core and legs to super human conditioning. No more excuses about off seasons and bubbles. Go get the damn DOPY and MVP now that you are in your prime. You have the talent.

definitely. especially if we move on from kuz. i think harkless is the mckinnie upside, though, so maybe we already have him?

agree that now's the time for AD to commit to health. he's got lebron to serve as a model here, so go get it.

see the kuz thread for my take on third-star necessity: in short, i don't think we need it. if lebron falls off a cliff, no third star is saving our title hopes. better to build around two very versatile superstars with complementary role players, imo.

Possibly, but the more wings the better. IMO

feels that way, though i think there are lots of ways to field great teams. i think it's best for us to find useful contributors at our non-star positions rather than load up on more 3s and 4s. that doesn't have bearing on whether you offer a vet min to harkless, obviously.

i just think it if it's between that and finding our next gasol (vet who takes far less than market value at a position of need), i take the latter.

Ultimately, I think McKinney gets moved; personally, I like guys a little bigger than Pope & Caruso.

I'm looking at more 6'6" - 6'9" types to fly around the court and defend the high level wings in this league.

Caruso is an excellent defender, but I do like him guarding most 1s and some smaller 2s; same with KCP.

Just need another wing defender. It would help greatly. IMO. ..

    Just spit ballin.

First thought, good. But I don't consider 3 teams a lot of suitors (4 if you want to include us).

honestly reads like a joint release from rob and schroder's agent. here are teams we'd like to deal with that could a) pay schroder what he wants and b) provide us something in return.

bulls: aminu (wing defense) and arcidiacono (backcourt shooting)? not a great haul, but better than nothing. both short deals, too, which is good for us.

ny: rose (obviously, but double s&t seems weird). how about knox and ntilikina (reclamation attempts) plus a 1st (for saving you embarrassment)? i don't love it.

tor: lowry (another double s&t, again weird), siakam (we send our pick) or van vleet (straight swap--and tbh, why would they want both?). lots of possibilities here, imo. could expand deal.

man...i still don't love it for us. lebron is old, and AD's injuries were pretty serious/chronic.

if phx goes all the way to the finals, they may have to cryogenically freeze paul.

Lakers get a normal off season by losing in the first round. So, there will be no excuses.

Are the Kam Bro's hipsters? Having Slava as your Twitter avatar seems like a hipster trying to be old-school cool, yet failing due to them not actually knowing anything about basketball and thinking it's actually a picture of Jerry West.

i think it's more hipster in that it's ironically sporting slava, right? "haha, look at this loser. we agree he's a loser, right?"

:D I have no idea, I don’t listen to them or follow them, I just saw it because it was a reply to Harrison Faigen. What little I have heard they seem like funny guys so it’s probably just a joke of some sort.

I’ll believe it when I see it. But the players coming together to stop Harden’s BS still warms my heart

i was just talking about trae young with my dad earlier. the idea that i'm going to get a step on my defender at the top of the key only to cut laterally and shoot an incredibly difficult 17 footer is just an insult to my basketball intelligence. it has to go.

it's bad enough that the league decided to legalize a hop after the gather (saw mpj do an egregious one last night for a sidestep three), but making any contact on those kinds of plays automatic defensive fouls to boot is garbage.
