    Fall back baby!

Though if that was “fall back” to Chick in those days what were most of Kobe’s Js in later years?

Now James AND Davis already ruled out for Monday's game...

This team could care less about winning...don't know why we even entertain ourselves with this board

Not big on Fournier but yeah. I’d probably pull the trigger on that.

They are pissed. I don’t like them sitting out either though.

What constitutes as a move that makes us a front runner this year (Rob's requirement for moving the picks)?

Stein posted last week about the Suns preparing for life after CP3. Matt Moore just had this blurb in his latest piece:
What if CP3 is available? I cooked up a 4 team deal (those never happen) involving several of the names to these teams are looking to move/get.

Does CP3, Fournier, Reddish, and Ibaka push you into front runner status? I hate CP3 (not as much as Bev), but when he's available he still preforms at a high level, you can't play him off the court like you can Russ, he has a brain and knows how to be a PG in high pressure situations. He's one of the few talented friends of Bron that he hasn't played with yet. His name checks of branding checkmark for Jeanie and Rob. After this year, you have options with his contract not being fully guaranteed. It would be an all in move for this year. If CP can avoid his playoff injury, I like that squads chances. How much draft equity is an all in on this year worth?

This 4 team for s***s and giggles trade idea would look something like this:

    Bucks trade: Grayson Allen, Ibaka
    Bucks get: Crowder

    Knicks trade: Fournier, Reddish
Kicks get: Allen, Bev, LW4, Jones

    Suns trade: CP3, Crowder
    Suns get: Russ

Lakers trade: Russ, Bev, LW4, Jones
Lakers get: CP3, Fournier, Reddish, Ibaka

The complexity of this one is in the picks, because it would be a pick heavy deal with them swapping hands like the briefcase handoffs in Thomas Crown Affair

Would one unprotected 1st from us, a protected 1st from us, a protected 1st from the Knicks, and six second round picks enough?

I have all the moving picks going to the Suns. Bucks giving 3 seconds of their own for Crowder (conversion rate of one 1st into 2nds we set with the Rui trade), a 2nd rounder from us (for Ibaka), another 2nd from us (for Reddish), and the Knicks chipping in a second of their own.

Couple notes: I don't think CP moves, but thought this would be interesting to work through for a minute. He would probably have to mention that he wouldn't mind playing here. Also if CP comes in, Bev has to go out. Back shove.

Interesting, but I can’t stand CP3 and wouldn’t gamble away two Firsts in the hopes that he can be healthy throughout a playoff run.

There's been just one 3-team trade all season and all I can say about this here is, A: I don't like it for the Lakers. B: Don't really think it moves the needle on the other teams.
either. Injury-prone CP3 will be 40 when his deal ends. Please, let's not lose all remnants of sanity. The idea of the other 3 players in the deal to the Lakers bores the cr@p out of me.

given what happened to us, i wholeheartedly encourage the clippers to follow kawhi's directives.

i get your idea, jsm, but the answer from me is zero picks. you're taking on paul's salary going forward, which is a bad thing, imo. he hasn't made it through a full season whole in forever (even if he's been technically available, that wasn't chris paul). people talk about AD being a guaranteed injury, but chris paul REALLY is at this point. i'll be shocked if he could make it through a full 4-round postseason, and that's the only way he's worth it.

yeah, ibaka's definitely cooked. i remember when everyone said the clips had some huge coup when they signed him.

i'd honestly consider giving huff a look before ibaka.

He was actually pretty decent for the Clips until he hurt his back like halfway through the 2020-2021 season and missed the rest of it. He’s definitely done now, you don’t come back from back injuries in your 30s.
