You did work in producing the stats, so I'll just have to go back and watch more of his games. With numbers like those, it's curious that Toronto would put him on the market with his reasonable contract.

OG is a really good, super-versatile defender, and one of the most ideal #3 options in the NBA. I'd be ecstatic if we could somehow get him, but I am just not convinced that we can.

Here's a current scouting report on him from hoopshype:

He's an almost perfect player for us.

Toronto is in a weird spot, they have 3 third options in Siakam, Scottie Barnes and OG.
Both Siakam and Scottie are better than OG offensively and that’s why I think they’d consider parting with him. They’re one superstar away from being a real contender and our two picks could help them land that guy. If I was them I’d probably be looking towards Turner which I think abeer has mentioned previously.

They’d also probably be a real good trade partner if we ever decided to sell on AD. OG, Gary Trent Jr and 2 firsts and a swap?

Lol..We'd be gifting the Raptors another chip with that trade. You like those guards and wings, besides Golden State, I don't think you can win a chip with your best players being 6'7 and under.

slick was right above--they can ask what they want. connelly didn't set the market; he set himself into early retirement.

yeah...as much as i want talent, you haven't seen me pitch a collins deal, and i've said before i think he'll go cheap, not expensive.

atl's management is about to be sacked, imo. they traded out of luka, had a weird blip, and now just look really bad. that huerter deal...for those that like to roast our FO...

i don't think they've put him on the market. they're just listening, which is wise. having two of siakam/anunoby/barnes is great. having three may be overkill. i'd listen to offers for all of them and take the best one that returned a player at a position of need (c, sg). ujiri's no dummy, and i don't think we're getting OG. but as i've said, i want to be in on that bidding.

Toronto has too much of what we need. Life is like that sometimes.

siakam's a legit #2, imo. especially if you have a scoring guard like a vanvleet (or even a rozier type, tbh).

i think i mentioned them when folks were talking about moving AD. again, not my first option, but a sensible one if we went that route, for both teams.

i said for the past few weeks that i don't think we have the assets to get OG, but again, if we do, i think you pull the trigger.

Talk about Cam Reddish is back on, SNY’s NBA Insider, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, says Knicks now know they will not get back what they traded for Cam (FRP) and will accept 2 SRPs, maybe less, depending on offers. They tried for a long time to get a haul back for Cam but no one is willing when they can just sign as a FA for probably 10 million. We can give up Nunn + one SRP, 2 if necessary.

Make the move Rob, get us that big wing/PF tweener without using our FRPs and then use the FRPs and our tradable players to get some real pieces. Don't f*** this up.

I wonder why two teams have given up on him so quickly though. He checks all the boxes physically.

    Not Thibs kind of guy

Anyway 3 1/2 years with Atlanta, not exactly quick but Knicks offered a FRP and it was too enticing to them. And he hardly played last year for them with his groin injury, 15 games, his first season as Knick . He's a new, unproven commodity to Thibs.

Very inconsistent because he’s still young but very intriguing under our system of player development

The prospect of Max Christie and Cam Reddish being two young, athletic defensive attack dogs on the perimeter intrigues me very much.

The problem I have with Cam Reddish is, if you’re gonna be a bad shooter, you better be a good defender. And he just isn’t a good defender or a good rebounder.

I’m fine with getting him - but I think Stan Johnson provides the same profile but with more effort and for the minimum.

Except Cam Reddish isn’t a good defender.

10 million is steep for a developmental project though. If he couldn't get any burn in New York...I doubt he automatically is going to play much this season here.

As a buyout candidate though..bring em on.

The Family in New York is saying Toppin can be had too.

Bev and 2 2nd rd picks for both?

Or Walker and Nunn straight up?
