I agree with you, but ever since the playoffs started, I feel like the coaching staff lost faith in him.
Kinda bummed about losing Dwight now since we could've easily matched or beat Philly's offer. I know Schroder & Harrell will more than make up for the energy he provided, but we are losing a bit of our intimidating size & athleticism. Lakers ability to play bully ball really separated them from the field last Year.
with you. i comfort myself with the idea that there are only so many minutes to go around, and signing either trez or ibaka meant howard might consider playing elsewhere, particularly for that cash. i don't think he'll like philly. at all. and i think we'll miss him, too. basically, just like the last time he left. problems on both sides, neither side happy with result.
I’m assuming a lineup of Caruso KCP Lebron AD Gasol bench Schroeder Wes Kuz Harrell TBD or possibly Morris at PF, Harrell at C or maybe this is more accurate
I would probably slide Wes into the starting line-up. I think Wes chose the Lakers because they were offering him that starting spot. Caruso isn't really good at spacing the floor so it's probably best to maximize LeBron's passing capabilities to have Wes out there with him as much as possible. KCP Wes LeBron AD Gasol Off-bench line-up Caruso Schroder Kuz Trezz Kieff?
^^^ Does that mean we're stuck with McKinnie..? If so, that means we're here. (not assuming who will start) Schroder / Caruso / (Simpson?) KCP / Matthews / Tucker LeBron / Kuzma / McKinnie AD / ??? / ??? Gasol / Harrell / ??? Morris & Dudley seem like the ideal additions here.
man, that is pretty filthy. i've been around long enough to know that winning the offseason isn't winning the season (see: last year), but this is good work.
We've been around way too long and I can't remember the last time I've been THIS satisfied with an off-season on paper. We are going to be scary good next year and rely a lot less on LeBron/AD greatness which should extend both of their respective careers.
Oh - and we still can sign someone next summer... We are in excellent shape both now and for the future.
kcp will be moveable if necessary, imo. i don't think we'll be in that market, but we can be if we want to be. and we're contending again.
So many changes will keep the Lakers interested in the regular season . If not it would have been the typical boring , frustrating , cruising until the playoffs from a NBA champ type of season .
So am I right that as of right now, we're losing: Rondo, Dwight, McGee, Bradley, Cook, Green? Man, I appreciate everyone's help getting #17, and these guys are all fully redeemed in my book, but never has the offseason attrition been so in line with my thinking.
