I wonder if we give Cook a chance at all

We already know what we get with Rondo:

    Poor defense
Overdribbling and ball sticking, with some shot creation for others
    Poor spacing
    Poor shooting
    Dumb Turnovers

At least with Cook we get more spacing, shooting, and higher scoring potential.
He also seems to give more effort on defense and adv metrics back it up

I wonder if we ever consider starting Kuzma

i'm of this mind. i feel like this management group got off on the wrong foot with the george fiasco, and we need to forge a different path. establish relationships with agents and players and let that naturally do the work for you (like getting AD). reggie happened to be in with folks that aren't in-network. so be it. it's a long game. cultivate as many relationships as possible (klutch and beyond) and try to play in-bounds (inasmuch as this happens anywhere).

i feel like if we do what the clips are doing, we'll get busted. the league views us as having an existing unfair advantage beyond the obvious cheating. the clips aren't viewed that way...for now--see what happens if it yields a title and stars start demanding trades there, though...

anyway, again, don't see harkless as a realistic possibility.

let's go into the clips series as underdogs and see how it plays out.

I like the underdog label that we'll likely get now that the Clippers are viewed as "stacked" and kinda already have our number based on the first 2 games - let the media think Clippers are gonna win it and then surprise everyone.

I forgot about Jeff Teague tbh (on the lowly hawks)

His defensive metrics have been just as bad, if not worse, than Rondo's. But at least he can shoot it a bit better and create offense from pick and roll and some iso

The Clippers are Manchester City: Second fiddle in their own city, BIG money buys them, and then proceeds to shadily put together a powerhouse quickly. Meanwhile, we are Manchester United. We happen to be down for the first time in forever when all this is taking place with Man City. Everyone hates us, but we are still the biggest draw in the league.

The only difference is that City has actually been winning some silverware along the way, while United is still in its slump. The clippers haven't won anything yet though (let's keep it that way), and we have rebounded quite nicely and are back in contention. Granted, these timelines are offset quite a bit as the Clippers are essentially in year 2 of being taken seriously; but they are also built/set up to be successful for many years to come. We still have to execute during the next two summers in order to deal with Lebron's retirement, and, unfortunately, we'll never be considered an underdog until the clippers actually win something.

You mean the way Ole got rid of Lukaku, Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Alexis without replacements?

This is not an analogy you want to be part of because even with City's two year ban, United has managed hit new lows.

Haaland didn't want to come and play with his own countryman.

    Klopp has built a powerhouse.

City doesn't strike me as going away even if Pep leaves and De Bruyne or Sterling goes during the ban.

I don't like the oil money buying success, but this is about the better run team... and it isn't United at the moment.

Firing Mourinho was as dumb as firing Popovich and replacing him with Luke.

It's not a perfect analogy, but it's still a similar dynamic where the second fiddle in their own city gets a massive financial boost and becomes legitimate for the first time in a while. And that rise coincides more or less with the one of the biggest drought in the other team's history.

That ban...I personally think it's going to get reduced if not eliminated. If nothing else, it could be on appeal for years to where when they finally do serve it, KDB and Sterling may be retired. :D

But if that ban stands, Pep is gone.

Pep is a coward if he runs from Klopp. Say what you will about Mourinho but at least he wants to manage in the most competitive league.
