I really want the Slippers to end up hiring D'Antoni. That would be hilarious if they end up with him.

Good idea. At least in Europe he would have a chance to win a Championship.

Reports are that Kyrie said the Nets don't need five players on the floor. Just him and KD is enough.

i was reading about what kyrie and kd were saying regarding the nash hire, and i was like...brooklyn, are you sure it was worth it to bring those two crazies on board?

they were basically saying something like "nash isn't really the head coach, there is no head coach, we're head coaches, too, but sometimes he can coach, i know him a little from one time when we worked out, anyway, it's going to be great..."

Now the hiring of Nash makes sense. They basically just wanted another perspective from someone as a team effort rather than a coach. Nash has no ego so he'll go along with anything those two psychos say. I still don't even consider KD a champion despite him having two rings. Kyrie is an amazing player but he thinks he's on some Kobe-level s***. The sad part is Kyrie would have been a perfect fit for the Lakers if he wasn't such a nutjob.

nash has serious ego. a lot of why he left dallas was about a bruised ego during initial contract negotiations. i'm not sure if coaching will suit him, but we'll see, i guess. not a great place to test the waters, though.

Yeah my gut instinct is that it will be a train wreck in Brooklyn but as ever, I guess we’ll see. Not our problem thankfully. Nash with no experience, Kyrie with no intention of listening to him except as an adviser, and KD who wants him but has always been a bit wishy washy in his decisions, communication and commitment. Sounds fun lol!

I don't have an opinion on Nash as a HC, every time he talks about the game he seems pretty well spoken. KD, if I'm being honest, has been one of my favorite non-Laker players to watch in the past decade.

I don't trust Kyrie to water the plants in my house. We'd probably end up having a discussion like "why do we have plants inside, bro? have you ever thought about that?"

Couple stories with monitoring this off season (both on my target list)

Based on that list I posted a couple of days ago about teams interested in him, that cuts it down to us, Mavs, Raptors, and Nets.

Beginning of the end for one of them.

nets could offer most, but not sure why they would. mavs could offer package centered on tim hardaway (contract expires) and one or two solid role players (they have a bunch). our offer would have to be green/kuz/filler (mcgee/bradley). honestly, kuz would be a decent pickup considering oladipo's contract and injury status. we could actually have a shot in this one.

if the nets offered levert or dinwiddie, they win, but again, why would they?

i'm watching that situation, too. we could use hield, but i'm more interested in bogdanovic. i don't think they can afford to keep both, regardless of what happens with walton. honestly, my money would be on them moving on from both walton and hield.

and again, kuz would probably have to go. problem with dealing for hield is that his deal runs a long time and probably overpays him a bit. enough that i'd be hesitant to move kuz in a deal for him (i.e., you can have salary relief and that's it).

interestingly, dallas should want hield. he'd fit in well there, and they have the pieces to make it possible without hurting too much. his being under contract is a positive for them, as they're not a FA destination.

Oladipo, team's main star? LOL, who the hell he think he is? He's a perfect 3rd guy on a good team, nothing more... hence the decent fit on the Lakers. Would consider, wouldn't lose any sleep over missing out either.
