Ooh I dunno about this one... Couldn’t stand him as a King, he always seemed like he never could take that next step. I imagine his shooting will be just as poor here, he’s shooting 33% from 3 and 35% overall this season.

He needs a Harden or Lebron. Definitely talented. Likes to compete.

Guess Otto is not taking a buy out.

Wouldn’t mind bringing Cook back for McKinnie or Duds spot.

I chalk it to to Bubble entertainment. They were stuck there with little to do, both guys have pretty large personalities. Like the local jester.

guy is shooting 33% from 3. are they really expecting his numbers to improve with the lakers? because we all know shooters come here to die

hope im wrong, but seems like this'll just be another waste of a roster spot like waiters and smith were

curious to see how it plays out. he was on a lot of our radars starting in the summer. again, like rhj, there has to be a reason everyone passed on him. but maybe it was unfounded? usually not, though.

it wouldn't shock me either way. MLE from a contender or another huge deal from a small market team desperate to compete (charlotte, sacramento, etc.). just depends on the appetite of those smaller market teams. does dallas offer him big bucks to compete right away?

Mle next year is roughly 9.7M.... I definitely can see HIM (compton born...lakers fan growing up) signing. Esp making over 200M for his career. We will see.

If the Dipo- Miami pairing doesn't work, I could see Riley going after him.

Naw, I think it will always be a hilarious tidbit in Laker lore that JR Smith and Dion Waiters (the same year he got cut from another team after getting too high on edibles) are immortalized as Laker champions.

And to be fair, Waiters was projecting to be a productive bench weapon for us before his bubble run got derailed by injury.

But the fact that JR and Dion have popped up into the discussion after the McLemore signing goes to show why nobody should be fretting about McLemore. He’s the final roster spot. It was unrealistic for us to expect another high impact player like Otto Porter Jr to pop free on the buyout market and sign with us for the minimum to take our last roster spot.

McLemore is adequate as emergency depth and giving Vogel another weapon to throw out there when he wants to mix things up. Way more upside than JR and Dion. If McLemore barely plays but has one playoff game where he’s able to come in and hit multiple three pointers, that’s enough to make it a good signing.

DeRozan's dad was a Lakers fan and DeRozan grew up a Lakers fan.. you never know. He might want to chase that ring with the Lakers.

Derozan is good but I'd prefer a wing that scores from further out. Poor fit next to Lebron/AD tbh.
