most versatile duo, both could pass, reb and score in a variety of ways, ad/ad duo isn't going to be the best big men in history

True, you were onto something Slick2021. For me I had no problem with your assertion, and I said so here. I just got a bit tired of hearing so much about it. As I also mentioned, I thought he would have a lot of suitors and it wasn't a slam dunk (pun intended) that he chose to come here. But I'm very glad he did. No, Drummond on his own won't get us far without BOTH a healthy AD and Lebron. But he should help in the interim and that's great news. Plus any time we beat out the C Bags it's a good day.

I'd wait until they play together before judging that. I'd take AD/Drummond over Pau/Lamar all day everyday and twice on Sunday. They do have to win a couple of chips first, but at 27 years old, they can definitely be a lethal combination for years to come.

Yes.. I expect Drummond to be another foundation piece, not a one year rental. The Lakers are going against the grain and bringing the bigman back in the NBA. Rob has some serious work to do in the offseason, to make it happen, but if we win the chip, we are about to go on another 4-5 year run.

Like I said, I was grumpy that night LOL..Anyway I'm old school, I love bigs, I seem to see a lot more potential in an AD and Drummond pairing than some. The game has a way of making complete circles over time. I like the idea of being ahead of the curve!

    Yup, exactly so transparent lol

I actually started buying the hype about Boston being a possibility because of the Theis trade. But this proves that they really just dumped him to save money.

This, not converting any of their “assets” into a star, players not wanting to play for them for what they did to IT, GMs don’t wanna deal with them because Ainge is shady. That organization is slowly becoming exposed as the dumpster fire that it is! :D

It depends on how it plays out. If the fit is like I expect it to be, I think being a champion and chasing future rings will appeal to him. Still we will have to cough up some dough to keep him.

Makes me wonder... how long until Tatum gets sick of it all? Would be pretty funny if he came over after his current contract expires. Pairing him with AD on the Lakers woul dbe almost too funny and I can't even imagine the C bag doom if that happened lol

Explanation from Pincus on the cap situation. In short, no even if Drummond is an excellent fit and we want to retain him on a big contract, we would not be able to do so.

I don't know about that, we have to see what actually happens on the court. My take is that this kid is a perfect compliment to AD and will be the most important player we have to keep in the offseason. This might be bad news for Schroder, but I think we would manage.
