I prefer Porter to Bradley, but Bradley would add to the Lakers identity of being a physicality tough scrappy team now with the addition of Drummond.

 

Lakers have enough guards. Porter Jr would be better.

Aldridge wasn't official but everyone is conceding that he is a net. Woj called it that Drummond will sign with Lakers.

 

Davis and Drummond will be the best frontcourt the NBA has seen in years.

 

Lebron will be extra motivated now esp coming off an injury going against probably the most stacked team ever assembled.

 

Harrell and Davis will not have to play center, well, I guess in AD (davis) case, not until the playoffs.

 

The type of signal Woj gave about us being the front runners to sign Drummond, is the kind of signal that Shams gave about Aldridge likely signing with Miami.

Nothing is official. Woj even cited the role we promised to Drummond as a factor in him leaning towards us, but then shortly after that the Knicks had their starting center go down. They can now offer significantly more money (possibly long term) AND a big role.

Many sources including Woj had suggested Drummond would make his decision today. Since that hasn’t happened, it’s quite possible that the Mitchell Robinson injury has him rethinking things.

EDIT: Well I do see now in the full ESPN article, Woj does say that Drummond is expected to formalize his decision to sigh with the Lakers as soon as Sunday. That is a bit of a stronger statement and we’re still within that timeline, so maybe my pessimism is unwarranted.

 

Dieng is also out there n might even cost ny less to sign long term, even with ny having cap I can't imagine then giving 20+ per either (which is what hes looking for imo)

 

He can't sign anywhere until he clears waivers at 5pm Sunday.

 

Right, I understand that, but players often announce where they’re going before they officially clear waivers. Well maybe not an “announcement”, but a signal to Woj or Shams that they have “agreed to sign with X team once they clear waivers”.

What we have from Woj so far doesn’t seem THAT strong of announcement, it’s as if he’s leaving himself a tiny bit of wiggle room.

I’m probably just being paranoid though, because I really want Drummond. Even beyond the basketball need, at this point I just want a moral W in terms of the arms race going on with Brooklyn lol
