He hasn’t played since 2018, so he should be..fresh.

I don't think he's going to play much at all, but might have something left in the tank for... practice/garbage minutes? Plays the 2, is pretty switchable, I'm sure he can still shoot... what else?

Just to post the depth chart, as a reminder:

    Bron/Caruso/Rondo
    Pope/Waiters/Smith
    Green/Kuzma
    AD/Morris/Dudley
    McGee/Dwight

Additionally, Caruso will play some 2, Bron will play the 3, Smith (if he gets any minutes) might play the 3, AD will play the 5. Team seems to be pretty deep.

If Bron is good with J.R., then I'm good with it.

With Waiters + JR our team IQ just dropped a few ticks.

LOL, no doubt TIME. Going from Avery Bradley to JR and Waiters definitely hurt our collective IQ. That said, I'm fine with this pickup. Honestly, we knew this was coming as they got in touch with Smith right after Bradley opted out, and I was good with it.

Sure, our D is taking a hit, but I like how JR can fit with Lebron offensively. Even with the rust he's only 34, he has a ring playing with him and I'm sure he can still shoot. Waiters gives us additional fire power off the bench to either go alongside him or in his place so I think we are covered. Actually the two of those guys might give Green some competition, and I've been concerned about his lack of production there for some of this season. The competition is a good thing at the 2 IMO. If one guy isn't hitting bring in the other.

KCP will start and Caruso hopefully will get more minutes too. Bring on the season return! I do hope that Dwight plays.

JR is a terrible signing. They didn't need to get him. Waiters and Smith on the same team. Dumb.

Maybe Bron viewed this as a "teachable moment" and JR is better for it. ;)

I'm sure Bron is over that moment. Bron's a smart guy. He knows that they weren't winning the Finals that season. That blooper was just a chance to MAYBE sneak an extra win.

You think Nick wouldn't like to walk back that legalize coke comment in his FA off season?

I still don't think it's fully sunk in that Anthony frickin' Davis is a Laker.

What do you guys think we do with KCP this summer?

    He will likely opt out

We have his bird rights I believe, but we also need to keep cap space for 2021, unless we are able to trade for a guy like Lavine, Hield, or whoever else can be a #3 guy

I think we're trying to preserve space for 2021. So I don't think we'd offer him much.

Anyone here know much about sign and trades?

If I am LA and Lebron, I tell him to opt in and do a handshake deal to pay him handsomely the next summer
