    Yes, but you're forgetting that the Lakers would never have been able to get Javale from the Cavs anyways. Under the CBA rules, you can't trade or sign a player from the team you just traded him to. The only way the Lakers would have been able to get Javale would be if Cavs traded Javale to a new team and that new team trades Javale to the Lakers or buys Javale out. So while the Nuggets are still keeping Javale, it's still a higher possibility that the Lakers could get him than when he was stuck on the Cavs (0% chance Lakers could get him).

    The real question is: do you trade to win now and see what happens afterwards, or do you stay put/make minor changes in order to develop THT into a potential all-star player?

    I'm not suggesting anything, BTW, just stating the obvious, LOL. If we're willing to trade THT, teams will make deals with us for sure. He's valuable.

    ok really hope that trade doesn't happen.

    I'm not even convinced Lowry would be a lot better for us than Schroder

    to throw in DS + KCP + THT for Lowry would be insane.

    1) Lowry is definitely better than DS.
    2) Lakers will have $8 million more to spend in free agency by making this trade.
    3) Lakers are in win now mode. If Lakers are pushing this hard for Lowry and are willing to add a Kluch client, you can bet LeBron really believes in Lowry and if that is the case, I'm siding with having Lowry. Now... not for THT but I think you would have to add Caruso here.
