Keep Damian Jones . He doesn't try to be a player he isn't unlike the Drummond and Whiteside of this world .

PS : Don't forget KCP will be an important piece for us in the playoffs .

We have the best center in the playoffs in AD , giving up assets for another one would be beyond stupid .

i think the buyout market will shake loose any last pieces we might need, tbh. only reason to make a trade is if jeannie has looked at the books and decided that the lux tax payments are going to be astronomical to keep the team together. though i still think that decision can easily wait until the offseason.

plus, as suggested above--if the nets can pay three supermaxes and joe harris at 20 million and dinwiddie at 13 or whatever, we can afford our two supermaxes plus a few in that 15-20 range, right?

that is quite the extrapolation there... i mean, i wouldnt necessarily take that deal either, but labeling THT a future all-star is a (ctrl b) statement.

It is, but he has shown significant flashes of a ceiling above all star level. He may never get there, but the tools are there. Only a few players even possess the tools he has.

I’ve been pretty good keeping track in my own head with my “kids” assessments. Just my opinion of course but he has shown a LOT and he’s a physical load already.

It's too early to say whether he has All-Star potential. He's great at getting to the rim and I think Vogel using him as sort of a mini-LeBron when LeBron isn't on the court is a brilliant move but he's gotta be better shooting the ball if he's to take his game to the next level. He actually is starting to resemble a lot like Giannis. Not good when the other team plays zone but he'll get to the rim and get fouled often.

Kuzma is right about THT. If THT had his own team, he would be putting up numbers like 16/5/5 consistently. He's only one year older than LaMelo and Edwards... he would be 2nd in ROY voting if he didn't play last year and had his own team.

it's not too soon to say he has allstar potential, as you're referencing potential. he has the skills and physical tools that could possibly lead to an allstar caliber player. will he avoid injury? will he expand his game? will he get better at playing off the ball on both ends? all questions that will need answering.

like that he's starting to use his left a bit at the rim. his finishes are insane, but he's going to have to be able to go to both sides, as he'll never be the shooter harden is (that's how he gets away with not having a right hand).

that long bounce pass he threw to kuz in the last one is a play that not many non-pgs can make, btw. very nice. hit lebron in stride on a back door from the top of the key, too, which is also something you don't see as much as you'd think.

guy can flat out ball. still can't believe he slipped to the mid-second round. even if he never improves from here, he's a quality rotation player. how many teams needed a guy like him and drafted someone who will be out of the league in three years or sooner? 10? 15?

I think you're having trouble reading. It's still too early because he hasn't shown enough consistency but he definitely has the skillset to develop into an All-Star player if he can figure out how to be more of a threat shooting the ball. But go ahead and tell me the other players who can be All-Stars... I'm sure all 30 teams would love to hire you...

you said it was too early to say THT has allstar potential. i said it isn't too early to say that.

i should have explained more simply or slowly why that is, but i was giving you too much credit, i guess.

before accusing people of being illiterate, understanding the definition of "potential" would be helpful.

There's no reading comprehension problem, there's a writing problem with you flip flopping all over the place. Clear POTENTIAL to become an all star in the future is what is being talked about and you clearly see it too.

The kid has had flashes of shooting well in pre season. (when they were "practicing") Now we don't even practice or have time to nor does he have access during his off hours to go to gyms or the Lakers facility. Who doesn't think he is going to shoot better as he gets older and when things normalize. You?

Sort of a lateral move overall, but who knows... maybe that trade can help the Bucks some.

Re: Meyers Leonard.... that escalated quickly. Let's leave it at that.

so houston got neither a useful young player nor a 1st. i mean, they'll spin it that way, but dj wilson and 1st swap is not at all the asking price that was publicized. i guess they got to save face by not buying him out, though.

weird that mil would give up augustin. must believe forbes and divincenzo can man backup pg. and they might be right, but augustin was supposed to be a pickup over the summer, and houston has little need for him. there wasn't another player to include for salary purposes maybe?

Poor DJ Augustin though... that dude must have played for at least 8-9 teams so far. I'm too lazy to check, maybe it's more. Not traded as many times as Ariza, no one is going to break that record, but still.
