Lakers don't need another lethal bricker

Rest and health are the best acquisitions out there for our team.

I don't currently see a player available who would make a difference from the guys already on the roster .

Calling both Javale and Gasol "garbage" is ridiculous.

I am surprised nobody has picked up DeMarcus Cousins yet.

Admittedly he is not a post defender, but he was a effective scoring option and he proved that when given minutes in Houston. He would cost the minimum for any team and is capable of averaging 10 pts 10 reb in 20min per game.

I would gladly have Boogie over Griffin if given the choice

i think he's just such a useless defender at this point. i'd take him as gasol insurance, but i think we (and everyone else) are holding out for better possible options.

If I had to pick one, I'd also take Boogie (familiar with the players and a better teammate) . But I agree that all the contenders are waiting to see what shakes loose.

Unfortunately because of money and minutes available, Nets will get the best player available.

Our issue with luring a front court guy is playing time. It's going to be inconsistent and they have to be OK getting some DNPs. McGee would be fine with it. Boogie already has had issues getting less PT cause of Wood and Blake is going to want big minutes too. Drummond will be the same. None are chasing hardware as much as a showcase for the next gig.

yeah, nets will get the pick of the litter. my guess is they're waiting to see what happens with drummond, and that's why griffin hasn't already signed there. wouldn't surprise me if they get both, tbh (assuming drummond gets bought out, which still is weird to me).

I think the biggest issue with Boogie in his current form is that his shot has disappeared. Everyone knew that he was going to suffer on defense, but with all the rehab time I was expecting him to come back shooting around 40% from 3. He's far from that. If he was functioning as a true stretch 5, he would be worth the hit on D.

I know it was before they left, but let me reiterate how dangerous and risky this f***ing cash grab for Turner Broadcasting is. Hopefully it doesn't come back and uproot the season.

boogie is basically another version of gasol like griffin is, except boogie has been pretty bad on D. just hangs out on the perimeter and shoots 3s

also, who knew holding an ASG during a global pandemic where players have to fly in from around the country would be a bad idea? silver's dumb a** literally just put the entire season in jeopardy. imagine an outbreak among the league's superstars

I don't have a clue why they have to do the ASG. Makes no sense.

No real surprise. He's better than he looked in DET, but I'm fine not getting him. He helps them more than he would have helped us. Plus they'll continue their matador D.

You don’t even really need to play defense when you can outscore the other team. Griffin was scoring on us at will when we played DET, now you stick him next to Irving, Durant and Harden and he won’t even get any attention on defense and can score easily, clean up on put backs and such. It’s a wrap this year Brooklyn is gonna win. Worst part is if we don’t make the finals and the Clippers do I’m gonna root for the Clippers because Harden can’t win a ring, disaster for basketball.

The Nets first need to be healthy to even get to the finals. I am not worried until I see them healthy and ready to play, coming on top of the Eastern conference. If they don't have all of their stars there, we'll beat them. Or someone else will beat them. :)
