Lol. Batum has been good, better than I thought he would be. But I'm not going to complain about us NOT getting him when we have guys at that position that are doing just fine if not better than Batum.

Yeah, I'd rather have Batum than Alfonzo McKinnie - but Batum wasn't going to sign here to play McKinnie's role...and like others have said, hie would be taking away minutes from guys like Kuz, Morris, Matthews and KCP - all of which have been good for us thus far.

To keep him away from the Clippers? Sure. But Batum knew he'd get more opportunity playing with the Clippers and they promised him a starting role too which he's filling very nicely for them.

What are you responding to? Yeah, Batum is playing great for the Clippers and the Lakers should've gotten him as it would prevent the Clippers from having him and he's great value. Not sure what I set off. Are we not allowed to say Batum is playing great? Oh, Lakers forum... I guess we can't say anything about other teams.

We do know. He stinks. Lakers fans always think they need more talent where talent doesn't exist. Like, I want Dwight Howard even though the guy we replaced him with has the best defensive rating by a center coming into the season.

Early buy out candidates (Zach Harper, The Athletic)

    f*** that super team

I'd like Robin, McGee, or Boogie BUT I don't see any of them interested in such a small role. Basically when we're playing a big team and Marc gets in foul trouble then and only then they would get PT.

Before the season I thought we'd need another shooter, but we went out and magically became one of the best shooting teams in the league and that's without Wes or AD finding their groove yet. So if we added a wing, I think it's Ariza or bust. Another tested wing defender for the playoffs. Outside of that it would be hard to justify giving those minutes away considering what's in house with THT.

Unless you move Kuz (which isn't likely until that extension $ kicks in), then Porter would be a steal.

If things sour with Dennis (contract, benching, or trade) , I'm all for bringing in Rose. That's the only way that makes sense, but we've shown interest before and he's one of my Memphis guys so I'll always be biased there.

why would cleveland buy out drummond? he's still an asset in that he could be traded or signed and traded. plus, you're in the playoff race.

a lot of those don't make sense, tbh. seems like what non-laker fans want instead of what the teams that hold these guys' rights might want. has a player as young and useful as drummond ever been bought out? ever?

    Can we somehow get him?

Westbrook is breaking down fast. He's scored 163 points this season on 163 shots. Beal must be pissed

Westbrick never improved his game. His athleticism and speed is still there but took a huge drop so now he's basically just shooting mid-range and missing shots at the rim. The guy was never a true basketball player as much as he is just a physical freak of nature. So unfortunate he never took his game to the next level to improve his shooting range or mental aspect of the game. Which team would improve with Russ on their team? I can't think of any. They are by far the worst team in the league.

I don't see it either, but he is making $22m. How many teams pay that for a rental? He's going to want a big pay day when bigs like him are going the way of the dinosaur (they can still get paid in the right scenario, see Gobert... different skill set, but a limited big) He doesn't fit in every system and teams can play hack a Drum.

I think they'd be better off just letting him walk, but rumors are circulating involving every one of their bigs other than Allen--Love, McGee, and now Drummond. And all 3 have been linked to the Nets in the past week or so .

How would the Nets even afford Kevin Love and why would they want him? He's a huge liability defensively and has shown in the playoffs that he's not going to step up his game or what's left of it.

Drummond would be insane if they manage to get him but I don't see a realistic reason as to why the Cavs would unload him other than trying to spite LeBron and help the Nets win. I'm 100% sure Cleveland fans would be disappointed in Gilbert doing something petty like that. The only teams that would even attempt to trade for Drummond has to be a playoffs contender who needs a big on their team. I think Drummond would be a perfect fit for the Mavs since they need someone to dominate the interior and KP is just too fragile out there.

Nets are desperate for a big, it seems. They are going to have trouble going up against Philly.
