Ragland hit a snag today...doctors discovered and enlarged aorta IIRC...he's gonna drop

i'd love for Hargreaves to be available at 14 but im guessing they take this guy

not my choice because i think he's a knucklehead but he's a beast

I had no clue as to who or what kind of talent he is... Raider sites seem pleased. In Big Reg I Trust...

It makes sense given how long we are in the tooth in both safety spots... The Second Coming of The Assassin?

    Damn!

Apparently Pittsburgh and Atlanta were eyeing him too...

    We replaced a 24 with an 8... There's a weird parallel that I can't seem to place. :)

What I like about that vid is that in all the open field plays his hands are in a position to wrap up the defender. He goes for big hits but looks to also be going for the tackle. The last couple seasons (well hell 10) we have some bad tackling that has killed us. This kids tackles, albeit on a highlight real, looked great down at the midsection of the offensive player with hands in position for the strip/tackle. I likes.

Some - not a majority - saw him as the best DB in the draft. Reading up on him. Watching tape. I'll be back with more. I'm pretty optimistic about him.

^Good call... Cravens might be a safer if not spectacular pick than Jack if he falls that far [doubt it]. He too is a solid tackler and has very good coverage skills. On offense, I like Perkins since he can catch the ball out of the backfield and can make tacklers miss.

I'm beginning to think that McKenzie and co. are content for now with our defensive backfield. Smith, Amerson, Carrie, Nelson, Allen... Depth would be great as insurance. Inside Linebacker right now is really a must IMO.

Me too... McKenzie likes to pick somewhat unknowns not the sexy "name" types. We'll see who else he'll tab as the rounds go on.

Interesting story about the young man:

Team is all about players with good character but Ward could probably play... SI Grade B+

^Nice. The third round pick Calhoun is rated well too. Considering that the NFL is a pass happy league, we are stocking up on capable pass rushers. This will ease the burden on our secondary and linebackers.
