Well you can say we sucked at every level today. We can just throw this weekend away and bring it back next week.

Just here to commiserate with ya'll... I think we're tied with Indy with whom we hold the tiebreaker. Pittsburgh won so they have the same records as them.

Same squad that no-showed in Minny. This one stings more.

This team needs an LB and a WR.

I'm a little worried about this week. A loss puts us in a bad spot.

^Agree with y'all but you never know...

Even if we don't win... Beat the Titans (they play Indy this week) next week, hope Pittsburgh (benching Rudolph hosting Cleveland) keeps losing and Indy as well. KC goes to NE. A sliver (silver) of hope though tenuous and slim.

    That is all I got.

We know the Raiders CAN beat the Chargers and Broncos. Even if they lose to KC, that's 8 wins. They just need a W over Jacksonville or Tennessee. I think they'll be favorite against Jacksonville. That's 9-7.

I rewatched the highlights from Oakland's week 2 decimation at the hands of the Chiefs. Here are some thoughts on that game, the two teams' seasons, and tomorrow's matchup.

    The First Game
The Raiders were up 10 at the start of the second quarter. Afte that, Mahomes used a downfield approach - all of his completions to close the half traveled at least fifteen yards through the air. The two TDs were giant - long passes. Three more deep passes and KC had a 21-10 lead with 2:00 left in the half. Another pass that traveled over 30 yards through the air - and the Raiders were down 18 at the half. At that point it was over. That was the final score, and the Raiders couldn't manage another point. Tyrell Williams has terrible numbers in his career vs. the Chiefs (<50% catch rate, 35 yard per game, 0.2 TDs per game).

    The Teams Since Then
Are the Raiders better now than then? They're coming off their worst game of the season, haven't thrown for 300 yards in five weeks, failed to reach 100 yards rushing in two of the last three weeks and three of the last five, and they've piled up four TOs in the last two. Yikes!

The Chiefs are actually 3-4 in their last seven games, but since Mahomes is back, they've picked up where they left off. He has thrown for 628 yards, 4 Tds, and 1 INT in the last two. He added 59 yards on the ground in the last one, too.

    Makings of a Loser
When the Chiefs lose: 180, 192, 118, 225. Those are the rushing yards the Chiefs have surrendered in their four losses. That's an average of 179 yards on the ground. The Raiders have to run the ball early, often, and well. They can do it, of course, but if Trent Brown is out, that task becomes more difficult. Expect a lot of Jacobs, a lot of the other RBs, and maybe even a WR or TE run.

When the Raiders lose: the Raiders are 1-3 when they surrender 400 yards of offense. It's hard to stop a Mahomes-led offense from hitting 400 yards. He's averaging 330 yards of offense on his own. The Raiders are 5-0 when they force two TOs or more. That's something that they can do to Mahomes. They got one takeaway last game, and if they can pick off a pass, and recover a fumble, they'd be in good shape. McCoy is a prime candidate to lose a fumble, but if the renewed Oakland pass rush can get after Mahomes, we might see one there, too. BTW, for the love of God, let Mayowa play.

Really need the Browns to beat the Pit but it isn't looking good. After last weeks fiasco I am not confident on our ability to win in KC. We find a way I think we can do damage in the playoffs. But truly worried this can be as ugly as last week. One can hope, right?

Beat Tennessee, Denver, San Diego and Jacksonville... Do-able. Of those four, Titans are formidable.

Then those 'effin Jets lose handily to the Bungles. SMH.
