Also, Cook - good numbers. Nice toss to Holton.
Martavis Bryant in on the action now, too.

Cook looks a hell of a lot better this year than he has in the past. I know it's preseason.

Hall tossed Joe Dahl around like a junior high kid. Hall is strong as hell.

Cook's TD pass to Switzer was beautiful. Great awareness, great composure. Great throw.

    Hall was big early on...

Didn't see much from Hurst and Key did not play.

I liked how Nelson played in the secondary. Long away but could possibly be a good slot corner.

Warren was a big horse too. Punishes tacklers with Millen and Gannon pointing out he seems to always fall forward.

    Piniero was money.

Cook with good consistent reliable play will sew up the backup spot.

So how do you call the helmet rule? It really neuters safeties like it did to Joseph.

Thought I saw Conley...it was just Melvin sporting 22.

    Sign Mack and soon...!

I've read only a bit of the helmet controversy stuff. It's fine to have a rule, but refs don't agree on how to enforce it. That's the most serious problem.

Yes..."Bubba" (as Gruden calls him 35 years on going) Millen and Gannon thought it would be difficult to enforce. Too many moving parts during a tackle.

Watching Key's highlights remind me of Simeon Rice...

The penalties...we're in mid-season form last night. :)

They played a good game albeit the first preseason game. Likes what I saw though. Get Mack signed!

I'd be okay losing Penn to sign Mack. Our cap situation is awful right now. May need to move some other dudes, too.

BTW, why the hell did we sign Roberts again?

Penn is being asked to take a pay cut according to reports...

I'd like to see either Washington or Richard traded for something though the latter can catch passes out of the backfield which Gruden prefers.

Drop Roberts's best and his worst season stats, and here's what Roberts has done in two seasons: 35 receptions per year, 426 yards per year, and 3 TDs per season.

Do the same with Bryant: 38 receptions, 576 yards, 4.5 TDs

With Cooper, Nelson, I think we're good with Holton, Switzer, and Bryant.

Bryant, Switzer, and Holton give us three explosive guys for when teams are going hard after Coop and Nelson.

Yeah; that's what I was referencing. Hope Penn makes the smart move.

We are a bit cluttered. I'd be okay losing Martin, too, depending upon what that does for us cap-wise. Lynch, Washington, Richard, Warren, and Smith may even be too much. I'm torn on those two - Washington and Richard.

Richard has been the more effective runner - by far. And his 56 grabs are also pretty impressive. The huge concern for me is his handles. Eight fumbles last year is ridiculous.

Washington was totally useless as a RB last year, but he also has 51 grabs in two seasons.

Richard is the better player, in my view, but he's also a riskier play. Washington has 7 and Richard has 6, but Washington hasn't broken one since December 2016.

Not watching, but it looks like the offensive line is struggling mightily. Three sacks and awful run numbers.

Warren looks like a legit back. EJ looks a bit more comfortable with this squad. Been watching on and off with Rams homers for announcers. The receiver the Rams got Hodges (I think) has great hands. Damn dude has made some catches against us.

I still like Cook as backup. Really curious what’s going to happen with the RB position.

...if Warren has another productive game against Green Bay next week, it would be difficult to cut him as well as for all the fans watching. Washington should be out or traded and keep him.

    Lynch
    Martin
    Smith
    Richard
    WARREN

The coaching staff is asking him to round out his game, blocking and catching passes out of the backfield. He could...hoping it is with us.

Game was blacked out here in SoCal. From write ups...Hall, Hurst, Lee were standouts on defense. Listening to highlight clips, it sounded like a home game and by accounts Silver & Black fans outnumbered the locals. Even the players noticed it.

    Sign Mack now!

Cook fell down to earth...at practice during the week and in the game. Has the tools but maddeningly inconsistent.

Warren reminds me of ex-Chief running back Larry Johnson... Straight ahead runner, runs high but can be shifty at times and with power.
