Quick question for those who may know..
Do we have other draft picks this offseason besides our own. i.e. required in trade, etc..?

Scouting time of year, NCAA tournament. What do guys think of Ja Morant? He’s thin, but so skilled, kind of a Mike Conley body type. Anyway he just put up 17 points (on like 9 shots), 11 boards and 16 assists in a first round win. He intrigues me, he could be another Fox.

would like a 2way wing guy with play making abilities ala Ingram but obviously a lower ceiling where we'd be picking, just an "in case" type pick, in case we trade Ingram lol

I like him, he has explosiveness and more athleticism than Conley. I think the thing that he should look to improve on is his overall shooting, but he is a better player than Fox was at the college level. Here's the highlights of today's game:

It'll be interesting to see him face off vs. Florida State, they have some NBA potential players on that team.

I just hope that whoever our scouting team wants to pick, Magic doesn’t overrule their call.

Haha. I was thinking he was flying under the radar a little because all I hear about is the Duke kids regarding the draft, but it seems people have him top 3 now, so we don’t have a shot really.

Unless we jump, Ja Morant will be gone before we pick. I think abeer is right. Darius Garland is the pick if Klutch can push him to us. Then we probably end the Lonzo era. Not because I don't think the two can't work together, but because I think the front office is over the Balls in general and tired of not having him available.

honestly, part of it is wishful thinking, as i think garland has a high ceiling and people might sleep a bit because he missed most of the year. that and klutch might strategically hold him out of workouts and such if they think they can get him to la.

i think what happens with lonzo is independent of this pick, though. if they move lonzo, they need a competent vet pg. you can't count on a rook, even a good one, when you're trying to compete in the playoffs.

He looks very interesting; I'd be happy taking him at our current spot. I also think he and Lonzo would complement well as Garland is a more of scorer.

Real life beast and the best prospect in quite some time. Can't wait to see him play in the NBA.

yeah, a few have him in the 4-6 range. the mocks are all over the place this time of year, but this year is especially wild. spots from like, 5 to 25 shuffle all over. just pick a player and try to track him across 5 mocks.

what that might mean is that if your scouts are good, there's a chance to pluck a really good player with a lower pick this year.
