if i had 100 million dollars, at least 40% would certainly go to training chinchillas to speak portuguese, so i can see the struggle.

It's weird seeing 3 farm teams of ours across the league with the Knicks, Wiz, and Nawlins.

Especially when you consider that it will NOT be his last contract. He can sign another max when it's over and take some chances then.

    Here's my roster plan:

    1) get Darren here, yesterday. That's our best possible addition we can make all without having to trade away any real talent.

    2) to clear the roster spot, I move Daniels to Philly for a 2nd round pick. Report just came out they're looking to add a shooter. They have 4 2nd round picks this year.

    3) look to dump Cook for a roster spot. I'd call Atlanta. I know they want to conserve cap space, but his contract isn't bad and they could move it this summer if they need to. We could see if Philly would be willing to give ATL their 2nd round pick back or buy one from the Kings (they have extra) to give the Hawks as compensation.

    4) use the above roster spot to get the best wing that hits the buy out market. Hopefully it's Iggy. If not then Crowder or one of the Morris bros, possibly.

    IF DARREN DOESN'T SIGN

    1) trade Kuz and Cook to Detroit for Rose and their 2023 or 2024 1st. This only works if they decide to blow it up and move Drummond. We get an elite 6th man who can create for himself and others, who finally learned to shoot the ball (last year). We can keep Bron's minutes down and conserve both of them. His contract fits within our 2 year plan and we get an asset out of Detroit far enough away that they should be out of their rebuild, but still in a window where our asset cupboard is bare. Kuz gets to go home and hopefully save Detroit.

    2) use that extra roster spot for best wing that hits the market.

I do not move Boogie. Hoping to use the chemistry and good will we're showing him into a bargain signing this summer.

Personally I want to keep the shooters... especially Daniels. But if we aren't going to use them, I suppose trading is better than letting them rot on the bench. I wouldn't trade them to anyone we are likely to see in the finals though.

Rose is pretty much a starter even though he doesn't start. He might even be their second best player. I'd want him but I don't think we get a first from them.

    Agree about Boogie.

Thanks for your comments. Seems most of us are correct that Cousins holds a lot of weight in terms of supporting AD. Is there any indication Cousins is sticking with us past this season? I'm a fan of signing him for the vet minimum so he can prove himself but it almost seems like Cousins being a locker room voice is a real thing.

He went broke. People laughed but he did the sums and crunched the numbers and knew that he needed more money. Who's laughing now. Checkmate!

I think they should offer Toronto Kuzma & Bradley, for OG Anunoby, Matt Thomas & Rondae Hollis Jefferson
