but if they know they won't be able to keep him i'm almost certain they could get a lot more for him than just kuzma and troy daniels

 

all this talk about their comfort with his free agency is protesting too much. they are not prepared to pay him a lot of money. they'd have to sell off other assets to make the financial room. maybe they value him that much, but maybe not. or maybe moving off harrison barnes won't be that easy--particularly when few teams have cap available.

Kuzma seems to have a high enough value potential that teams are very interested. The unfortunate problem for us is we have Cook, Daniels, and Rondo - three players who aren't doing anything for us lately. If Vogel was smart, he would start giving Cook and Daniels some opportunities so we can inflate their value. You can't sit two players out for an indefinite period and then expect to fetch market value for them.

 

I think kuz’s value is low, and we’re putting out info to the contrary—maybe to play some mind games internally? Maybe to posture a bit, internally and externally.

 

they wouldn't. they called on kuz, trying to buy low with junk. we said bogdan, and they said no. now both sides spinning in the press.

maybe this opens the door for a daniels/yogi swap, though.

Not if Bogdonovic is leaving. If he tells Vlade I'm testing the waters in the off season, he's trading him. Kuzma has potential, played well in Luke's system and would still have another year to sign his extension. This deal could happen but certain players need to make management aware of their situation.
