100% on target but I fixed your 2 month comment.

I'm not against a small tweak but like you say, we are doing pretty darned good. Nobody has shown us the chink in our armor yet. That day might come, but I am waiting for it to see it, taste it and totally grok it before I want to make changes.

Jabari Parker at 6.5 million is good value. I pray we don't pay Kuzma anymore than that after next season.

It's wild that they are the same age.

I wouldn't trade anymore than Kuzma for Jabari straight up... but that's a good deal if for some reason Atlanta liked Kuzma

I'm wondering how you accrue a negative 5.0 box plus minus on a team that's 24-3... that's some special type of mediocrity.

The only thing good about keeping Kuzma is that he's 3 million dollars cheaper for similar production next season... but Parker is a better player.

Problem is we'll probably need that 3 million next year.

I agree with this. Just stand pat unless there is some unbelievable deal that comes along (which I don't believe will). Team chemistry forged in battle over the course of a season is not valued in today's NBA... most people think plug and play. It doesn't work that way. Guys get to know each other and anticipate what they will do on the court. That time is invaluable and pays dividends in the playoffs. This is the most cohesive and fun team I've seen in a long time.

A lot of the time it's good to take a potentially good player just to take him away from your competitor.

What if Dwight or Boogie was on the Clippers?

What if Melo was on the Clippers?

Even if they are washed up... you'd be better off keeping Melo on the bench than someone like Cook who is less likely to do any damage somewhere else.

The Blazers might be a problem when they get Nurkic and Collins back.

I've always thought the chemistry disruption factor is overstated. Especially on a team like ours that has vets and three head coaches.

Here’s the thing: I think we could get away with not trading Kuz for Parker. I was thinking more along the lines of Dudley, Cook and a future 2nd rounder. That in no way is a drastic change to our roster, and gives AD another Chicago native as a teammate too.

Soooo is anybody down for some Jrue Holiday?

If so - how do we get him and what are we willing to give up?

I'm thinking some combo of Green/Kuz/Cook/Cousins would probably get a deal done?

OR - hopefully JRUE is traded for Dragic and Winslow and the Pels will buy out Dragic and then we get him for free?

Oh man, that is EXACTLY what the Lakers need to finish this off. Dragic would be tailer made for this team.

Umm, we don't have any asset(s) (meaningful) that are going to get a Dragic, Covington, Holiday, etc...we have no pick(s) to sweeten any deal and our players alone aren't going to motivate any opposing GM's to trade the quality of player(s) we're looking for...

You're looking at buyouts; or guys like Augustin, Galloway, Iggy, or even a reclamation project like Josh Jackson if he gets bought out, which I doubt...

There may be more; but as I've said: we need another ball handler, IMO.

We can't rely on Rondo; and LBJ is turning 35 this month.

That would be awesome, but I bet he goes to Dallas if bought out to play with his buddy Luka

I suppose as a third option Jrue might be okay, but watching a lot of Pelicans games this season because of the young kids, he makes a lot of boneheaded plays and turnovers.

The reason they are losing so much is that he's no first or maybe even second option. I think they'll start winning once Zion is there provided he's healthy.

Personally I'd be nervous about Jrue even though he does have some good points.

Come on that's not good karma. Not like Rose hasn't had a checkered history with serious injuries. Regardless yeah let's improve if we can but not by hoping injury on one of our own important players.

You literally answered your own question bruh - Jrue wouldn't be the 1st or even 2nd option here..he'd be the 3rd - which is exactly the role he'd excel in.

Not to mention - he solves our ball handler problem and he also can guard 1-3 - i'd love to stick Jrue on PG13.
