    I kind of wonder if Memphis isn’t buying Iggy out because they don’t want him ending up on one of the LA teams. I do think he puts either team over the top, but especially us because he’s maybe that one key piece we are missing. He’s kind of what you’d hope best case scenario that Kuz can sort of be somewhat like.

    Memphis is using him walking to la to try and get something for him. They will cut him eventually, imo. Just keep the spot open and make sure his agent knows it.

    This is what I think is going to happen too. Memphis views this as a way for Iggy to help them during the year and mentor their young kids. Then when the season winds down and MEM is out of the playoffs before that roster cut date in March or April they will waive him if the didn't already trade him during the year. I think we'll have our chance at him but we just have to wait and be patient.

    They're banking on a contender getting desperate and offering a 1st. Won't happen. Unless mem takes on salary, which is unlikely. He'll be waived by march, one way or another. Just make sure we're the preferred landing spot. send fruit baskets or something.

    i think iggy's enough of a competitor to think it would be fun to clamp the klaw in a playoff series as the last chapter in his career.

    Maybe memphis is fine taking on a s***ty deal or expiring plus an asset?

    Portland sends Hassan and a 1st for Iggy and filler?
    Clippers would do 2 2nds, Robinson (last year lotto pick), and Mo Harkless expiring

    We are in a tough spot with Iggy, especially with contract matching. If we don't get him, I wonder if we take a look at Jae Crowder or Roberson.

    Point guard is also an issue. We are banking on Caruso to evolve to be a starting pg. Cook has defensive issues. Don't talk to me about Rondo. Avery can guard pgs if he is back to Boston ways. But if not, we may need that fixed too.

    Dragic buyout or some sort of small trade
